Yandere Begs for a Break – Part Three

Although three people were standing there, the doctor felt like he was shut out of their world. He had previously thought Yue had used some underhanded means to be with Tao Yu in such a short time. Now the doctor finally understood that it was all his own small-mindedness.

After all, the look of love cannot be hidden.

The doctor almost fled in panic. After he left, Yue Linze slowly approached Tao Yu. Tao Yu gripped the flowers tightly, momentarily wanting to throw them away, but remembering he had no real relationship with her, she immediately straightened her back.

“Mr. Yue, you’re home quite early,” she greeted politely with a smile.

Seeing she hadn’t thrown away the flowers, Yue Linze’s eyebrows gradually rose: “It’s not early. You’ve already accepted the item.”

Tao Yu paused, feigning innocence: “What item? Mr. Yue, the equipment is still under repair. If there’s nothing else, I’ll be going.”

Yue Linze looked at her pretending to be innocent, wanting to laugh and simultaneously wanting to grab her and squeeze her so tightly she could barely breathe. But given the current progress, he could only suppress this impulse. As she walked past him, he gave her a sidelong glance: “Dr. Tao, is it really appropriate to be with another man right in front of your employer?”

“We’re not minors. The contract doesn’t say anything about not being able to date, right?” Tao Yu found his accusation absurd. “Besides, I haven’t interfered with Mr. Yue’s treatment. There doesn’t seem to be any contract violation.”

As soon as she finished speaking, her chin was caught, and Yue Linze’s face suddenly drew near, stopping just a centimeter from hers. For a moment, Tao Yu’s heart stopped beating. After being stunned, she swallowed and subtly shifted her toes, planning to escape when he wasn’t paying attention.

“Try moving, and I’ll get angry,” Yue Linze’s voice was filled with amusement.

After these few days of interaction, his domineering aura had diminished in Tao Yu’s eyes, replaced more by an understanding of his shameless nature. Hearing his words, she scoffed, momentarily forgetting her escape plan: “As your attending physician, I haven’t done anything wrong. Even if you’re angry, you can’t do anything to me.”

“Oh? What if I lock you outside during lunch for two hours?” Yue Linze was extremely close, close enough to clearly feel her breath, making his urge to kiss her increasingly obvious.

Two hours of lunch time isn’t long, and any sentient being over the mental age of five wouldn’t be scared by such a trivial punishment.

…But Tao Yu was scared! What joke was this? Loan sharks were waiting outside. Before she cleared her debt, going out could mean being dragged away and sold at any moment!

The big shot was indeed a big shot. Even his child-like punishment method precisely hit her fear point. Tao Yu swallowed and tried to sound tough: “Why should I? I didn’t promise that person anything. Accepting the flowers was just out of courtesy. I’m definitely eating lunch today.”

Yue Linze had anticipated her surrender but didn’t expect her final line to be about food… Too cute. He couldn’t bear to bully her.

Suppressing his laughter, he took the flowers from her while she was distracted and walked to the trash can, casually throwing them away.

“You’re still under contract. You only need to consider my feelings. Other men’s emotions aren’t worth your consideration,” he said. Cute as she was, the rules still needed to be taught.

Tao Yu, afraid he might throw her out into the loan sharks’ hands, agreed to whatever he said, wanting him to leave quickly. Seeing her absent-minded state, Yue Linze knew she hadn’t listened much. He stepped forward, grabbed her chin, and kissed her.

The kiss was brief as a dragonfly touching water. Before Tao Yu could react, Yue Linze had stepped back three paces, his eyes filled with rising desire: “Seems I’ve overestimated my patience. I’ll need to speed things up.”

He turned and left. Tao Yu stood frozen for a long time, eventually touching her kissed lips, suddenly surrounded by a sense of crisis. She ran to the equipment room, face bright red, telling the repair staff: “Hurry up and repair. Finish in three days. I want to return to the United States!”

The lead repair technician looked at her and shrugged helplessly: “Probably not possible. The motherboard was also splashed with water. The problem is more complicated than expected.”

“Motherboard?” Tao Yu was stunned. The motherboard was worlds apart from the line board. How could it be splashed with water?

He sighed: “The problem you reported wasn’t comprehensive. The instrument for repairing the motherboard wasn’t brought. It’s currently being air-shipped. We’ll try to repair it as quickly as possible.”

“…How long will it take at the earliest?” Tao Yu’s face went blank.

He looked at her: “At least half a month. Longer if we’re unlucky.”

…Half a month. Yue Linze would have enough time to get her pregnant. Tao Yu returned to her room in despair, sat alone for a while, then locked the door, deciding not to go out during this time to avoid encountering that devil.

However, if it’s not time to go out, it’s fine, but meals still need to be eaten. Early the next morning, Tao Yu deliberately dawdled until after nine o’clock, calculating that Yue Linze had already gone to the company, before quietly opening the door.

Just as she opened the door a crack, she smelled a strong floral fragrance, and then saw a familiar figure outside. Tao Yu was startled and quickly closed the door, patting her chest in shock. Before she could speak, she heard Yue Linze’s voice softly say: “Am I a ghost?”

Tao Yu’s mouth twitched, intending to pretend she heard nothing.

Unfortunately, the person outside had no intention of giving her that chance. Without getting a response, he wasn’t angry, just calmly said: “I’ll count to three. If you don’t come out, I’ll throw you outside the main door. One…”

Before he could say “two”, the door opened, revealing a small face with a hint of annoyance: “Mr. Yue, I’m not a child. There’s no need to use such childish jokes to call me.”

“If it works, that’s fine,” Yue Linze said casually, his gaze falling to her feet. “Here, for you.”

Tao Yu lowered her head in confusion, only then noticing a massive bouquet of roses on the ground. Both in condition and packaging, it was several times better than the one the young doctor had given her yesterday. No wonder she had smelled such a strong fragrance.

“It’s too heavy, just leave it here. Let’s go have breakfast,” Yue Linze said, turning to walk away. After a few steps without hearing footsteps behind him, he stopped and curved his lips: “Not coming?”

“Mr. Yue can go first. I haven’t washed up yet,” Tao Yu said flatly. He was waiting here as soon as she came out, and she didn’t want to think about how long he’d been waiting.

Yue Linze turned around, lazily leaning against the railing: “I’ll wait for you.”

“…I might not eat even after washing up, because I’m not hungry,” Tao Yu pursed her lips.

Yue Linze’s gaze darkened: “I’ll wait for you.”

Tao Yu frowned and met his gaze, eventually nodding perfunctorily. The door closed between them. She returned to bed, feeling troubled, rolling around and punching the pillow to release her frustration. After venting some of her anger, she pulled the blanket to continue sleeping.

The bed became much quieter, but not for long. Tao Yu lifted the blanket, stared blankly for a moment, then went to open the door with a stern face. Yue Linze was indeed still waiting, but the flowers were gone.

When Yue Linze saw her come out, his eyes filled with amusement. Seeing her gaze stop where the flowers had been, he suppressed a laugh and explained: “The smell was too strong, so I had someone throw them away.”
