Yandere Begs for a Break – Part Three

The housekeeper’s eyes darted around, and he sighed, “City lord, I’m not feeling well. I’ve wanted to tell you for a while but was too embarrassed. May I go rest for a bit?”

“…What’s wrong? Is it serious? Shall I call a doctor?” Yue Linze immediately showed concern.

The housekeeper’s eyes twinkled with a smile, “No need, city lord. I’ll just go rest for a while.”

“Then go quickly,” Yue Linze urged, and only after the housekeeper left did he remember his soup hadn’t been served.

He carefully glanced at Tao Yu and deliberately raised his voice, “I want some soup.”

Tao Yu ignored him, continuing to eat. She had felt guilty when he had accused her that day, but after carefully thinking about it, she had only not consummated their marriage and had even helped him relieve tension. She hadn’t done anything wrong. He was angry and hadn’t spoken to her for days, which seemed petty.

Even if she had genuinely refused intimacy, that would have been reasonable. She wasn’t some tool. Thinking this, Tao Yu straightened her back.

Yue Linze stole several glances at her, and seeing she had no intention of speaking to him, his mouth drooped, staring at his bowl, his eyes reddening.

Although his method of marrying her was not honorable, she had agreed. Having agreed to marry him, shouldn’t she be a good wife while he was a good husband? Yet she wouldn’t even bear him a child, clearly not wanting to live a good life together.

Remembering that day, when he angrily went to the study to sleep, he had specially reminded the maid to call her to comfort him. He would have immediately returned if she had given him a way out, and they could have continued their life together. But unexpectedly, she not only didn’t come to comfort him but also gave him the cold shoulder.

These days of her not speaking to him were torturing him. Whenever he thought of her, he couldn’t sleep, feeling that being married was worse than being single.

If he had known, he wouldn’t have married her, Yue Linze muttered, staring at his bowl. A tear dropped in, instantly disappearing.

Tao Yu heard his unconscious mumble and immediately raised an eyebrow: “What did you say?”
