In the moment before she was about to fall asleep, she suddenly startled, remembering that she had slept for so long in the government office earlier and hadn’t felt tired after returning. When she still had some consciousness, she vaguely heard Yue Linze’s footsteps, followed by the sound of a door opening and closing. She wanted to open her eyes to look, but her consciousness was no longer under her control. In her final moments of losing consciousness, she thought about the cup of water she had just drunk.
Outside the window, the moonlight was completely blocked by dark clouds, and the stars that had been shining earlier had disappeared due to the sudden change in the sky.
