Dealing with Tigers

“You haven’t answered my question yet,” he approached step by step.

“What?”

“Forgot?” He tilted his head, looking at me, shrugged, “Then forget it.”

“I heard you have a two-month contract with him.”

“How… how do you know that?” I was backed up against the railing.

“But the two months are almost up.” He leaned on the railings on either side of me, trapping me. Suddenly, alarm bells rang in my head, “What are you doing?”

“It’s time to find a new master.”

“Let me go!” I struggled to push him, but he didn’t budge. “Tsk tsk, did he do this?” He maliciously traced the hickey on my neck with his fingers, “I want to leave one too.” As he said this, he lowered his face to nuzzle my neck, suddenly sucking hard.

“No! Don’t! Get away!!” My legs were pinned by his knees, my upper body trapped, only my head could shake violently, crying out. I didn’t want him to touch me at all; having marks from two different people on my body felt so unclean! Suddenly, the weight was gone; he was pulled away by Qi Yufeng, who must have snuck in unnoticed, throwing a punch at the doctor.

“Good, hit him!” What, was he full and had nothing better to do? Picking a fight with me? Humph! Beat him to death! People immediately came to separate them. Qi Yufeng, furious like a wild beast, was reluctantly restrained, his eyes fixed on me as if he wanted to devour me. I was doomed; he would surely misunderstand me. The best strategy now was to flee! “It’s none of my business!” I pushed through the crowd and ran.

“Let go of me,” a cold voice echoed. I sneakily looked back to see that Qi Yufeng had been released. He was adjusting his slightly wrinkled suit, walking steadily towards me, his gaze unchanged. Once out of the banquet hall, I kicked off my high heels, grabbed them, and ran, not forgetting to mess up my hair to cover my face. How embarrassing, running barefoot like this, please don’t recognize me! But before I could run far, Qi Yufeng’s convertible sped up, he lifted me onto the seat, and started driving recklessly again. Jump out of the car? I wouldn’t dare; at this speed, I’d only end up dead! I quickly buckled up and sat obediently.

In the elevator, Qi Yufeng stood with his hands in his suit pockets, leaning against the wall, giving off a chilling vibe that reminded me of a ghost story set in an elevator, sending shivers down my spine… I slightly lifted my head, glancing at the mirror in the elevator, my neck… truly a sight to behold, tears streaming in my heart T-T. “It’s quite deep,” he murmured. I looked in the mirror; Qi Yufeng was also staring at the hickey. I cursed the doctor in my mind! I turned to him, giving a sweet smile, “Not at all, yours is the deepest~”

“Ding,” the elevator doors opened, Qi Yufeng walked out with a faint smile. Was everything okay? Was he not angry anymore? I followed behind him, but how could that be possible? Just as I, foolishly thinking the storm had passed, was humming a tune and preparing to take a bath, he came in.

“What are you doing here? If you need to use the bathroom, go to the one in the hall.”

He didn’t answer, instead, he asked, “Is the water temperature set?”

“It’s set.” He rolled up his sleeves, sat by the bathtub, and tested the water with the showerhead.

“What do you want?”

“Come here.” I obediently went over, curious about what he was up to. To my surprise, he pinned me against the wall, the water cascading down, and he began to scrub my neck vigorously. I pushed and screamed for him to stop, but he wouldn’t listen.

“You’re crazy!” I cursed, throwing the showerhead away, he grabbed my wet hair, forcing my head back, gritting his teeth, “I’ll go mad if I don’t remove it!” He then bit down, tearing at my skin, the pain was so intense I couldn’t even cry. It was useless; he wouldn’t care until that piece of flesh was gone, but that was my artery! I stopped all resistance, trying to stay calm, “Either you bite it off, and I die, or you lighten up and leave a bite mark, a permanent reminder that your cousin’s kiss is there.”

Indeed, he released his bite, his head hanging over my shoulder, silent for a long time, like a child, triggering my maternal instincts, I reached out to embrace him. I really wanted to comfort him; he was hurt. “No matter what misunderstandings you have with your cousin, he and I are not what you think. I’m on your side.”
