Don’t Mess with the CEO

”They’re living happily where your father died, without a hint of guilt. If we destroy that house and build a memorial tower, I’m sure they’ll be terrified when they find out.” Qingyan grew more excited. “It would be best if their ashes were placed there after they die, so they can party as much as they want…”

He interrupted her rambling. “No, I’ve changed my mind.”

”Why?” She was stunned again. “Don’t you think this idea is good? It has a shocking effect!”

”That villa was specially built by my father when he married my mother. They had beautiful memories there, and so did we three siblings. Although our last connection to it is a sad ending, for that reason, I won’t turn it into a place where negative energy gathers.”

She listened carefully, and it would be a lie to say she wasn’t moved. Once again, his profound gentleness soothed her restless heart.

She pouted. Unfair! Why was he so tolerant of everyone, but with her, he was domineering and forceful?

What do you want to do with that piece of land?” she asked reluctantly, but still wanted to know.

“A nursing home. A place for people like my mother to have a place to settle down.”

Qing Yan had a series of strange feelings in her heart. Their personalities were truly different; he thought deeply, she thought superficially; he was far-sighted and considered everything comprehensively, while she loved momentary pleasure and venting her anger.

But, she loved him.

After hearing his inner confession, her emotions rose and fell. She could no longer lie to herself, telling herself that he meant nothing to her. She loved Wei Zhan Yi, loved his cautious and agile journey; loved that he did not fall into the trap of revenge; loved his far-reaching vision, like an eagle soaring in the sky, with nothing escaping his gaze.

She wanted to fly side by side with him, spread her wings beside him, possess his bearing, his vision, everything he had. She wanted to be a woman standing next to him, in no way inferior.

He also loved her, but if she did not progress, getting such a woman would only be an insult to him.

They quietly embraced, enjoying a moment of tranquility.

“Wei Zhan Yi?”

“Hmm?” He rested his chin on her head.
