Millennium Shadows: Love for an Ancient Prince

Moxiaoji couldn’t help but feel her dark desires fade when thinking about a handsome guy turning into a python.

She lay softly on the tree, sighing that such a handsome man was actually a snake, what a waste of good looks.

The pursued girl covered her face, softly crying. Her delicate shoulders trembled, looking pitiful and fragile, making one want to hold her tenderly.

The White Snake Prince spoke gently, “Miss, don’t cry. Those who were chasing you have gone. You can go home now.”

“I have no home left. Where would you have me go?” The girl turned, her delicate face still wet with tears, looking like a flower in the rain, so pitiful that anyone would want to embrace and comfort her.

The White Snake Prince was stunned, and so was Moxiaoji.

Even the pile of snakes stopped moving and became docile. What a beautiful girl, absolutely stunning.

Her coarse dress couldn’t hide her ethereal spirit.

Her face was smooth as jade, with a delicate glow.

Her eyes were like water, sparkling with life, truly breathtaking.

These were others’ observations, not Moxiaoji’s.

She was now trembling at the sight of this beautiful woman.

This pitiful girl was actually the female ghost who had turned Moxiaoji into a snake.

Moxiaoji couldn’t see anything pitiful about her and found her quite hateful.

She looked at the beautiful face, wondering what trick she was planning this time, hoping not to fall into her hands again.

Moxiaoji almost wanted to shout: “I can’t swim, help, help!” But then she remembered that she was now a snake, and had never heard of snakes being afraid of water.

In the clear water, a reflection of a small white snake appeared, such a beautiful little white snake, with white scales shimmering in the sunlight, two red dragon horns on its head, like coral in the deep sea, so beautiful that even the snake’s face was beautiful… wait… what? Her own face, both a snake head and her still somewhat delicate features.

Moxiaoji’s eyes turned left and right, looking at the reflection in the water, alternating between a snake and a woman.

What was going on? Yingluo seemed not to have seen her face at all – could she not see it?

Unfortunately, Moxiaoji couldn’t even speak now, and could only keep her questions bottled up inside.

Yingluo lay comfortably on her back on the water’s surface, leisurely watching Moxiaoji shake her head left and right in self-admiration, her face full of confusion. Even several water birds flying over her head went unnoticed.

One very small water bird playfully reached out its claw and grabbed Moxiaoji’s body, flapping its wings and taking flight. Moxiaoji wanted to scream: “Help, help!”

Fortunately, the little water bird just liked Moxiaoji’s cute appearance and was just playing a joke.

But Moxiaoji thought the bird was going to eat her, and she became as soft as mud from fear.

The little water bird finally got tired and dropped Moxiaoji back into the water.

The poor Moxiaoji could only catch her breath, which made Yingluo roll her eyes.

Moxiaoji never expected being a snake to be so difficult. She used to think being a snake was easy, but how did it become so challenging for her? She had lost confidence in both being human and being a snake.

Yingluo dragged Moxiaoji’s tail, walking back step by step.

Moxiaoji sadly thought that Yingluo would never bring her to play in the water again, even if it killed her.

Yingluo had no such sad thoughts. She was happy, shaking her head, swaying her plump body, humming an unknown country’s folk song in her mouth. However, it sounded quite nice, much better than Moxiaoji’s “hiss” sounds.

She didn’t know what that woman wanted to do, but she felt that the woman approaching the White Snake Prince definitely had no good intentions. But why would she approach the White Snake Prince? It was truly a mystery.

Yingluo was also lost in thought.

It was, after all, a dagger that had lived for thousands of years, and its brain should be more useful than that of a human who had lived for twenty years like Miss Moji.

Yingluo, perhaps afraid of the female ghost discovering them, dragged Moji’s tail back to the original dense forest.

Moji also let Yingluo drag her.

As soon as she saw that female ghost, her body went weak. She was now even more timid than when she was human, truly becoming more and more useless.

Yingluo pulled Moji’s tail and climbed onto a lush, leafy tree.

Moji thought Yingluo was truly clever. As expected of a dagger that had lived for a thousand years, its brain was indeed more useful than a human’s.

Moji also felt that the tree was much safer than the ground.

After all, there was now a vicious female ghost in the forest who liked to use snakes as her meal, and she seemed to be addicted to eating them.

Moji was about to praise Yingluo again.

The tree she was on was full of unknown golden-yellow fruits.

Moji ate one after another, finding them sweet and delicious.

Moji ate so much that her belly became round.

Female Ghost

Yingluo, standing nearby, looked at her with disdain.

Moji rolled her eyes. She wanted to tell the White Snake Prince that the woman ate snakes and was a female ghost.

But would he believe her? Seeing how much he liked that woman, even if she told the truth, she couldn’t speak now. She didn’t know the snake language, so she truly had no way to communicate.

Moji, full from eating, fell asleep on the tree. In her drowsy state, she seemed to hear Yingluo climbing down. When she opened her eyes, it was already dark.

Moji lazily swayed her body.

Actually, being a snake wasn’t bad. All she did was eat and sleep, not like being human with all its complications of working and earning money.

“Giggle… Is it comfortable up in the tree?” The female ghost stood below, laughing charmingly like a flower.

Moji was so scared she almost fell off the tree, swallowing her saliva and looking around to see who was speaking.

After looking around, she sadly realized that except for herself, there wasn’t even a bird.

Moji tightly coiled around the tree branch to prevent herself from falling due to fear.

“Hmph!” A cold snort.

The next second, Moji was grabbed by someone.

A hand smelling of rouge slowly caressed her body, landing on her head. Her neck tightened, choking Moji and making her unable to breathe.

Moji was so angry she almost wanted to die.

If she were human, even if she feared this ghost, she wouldn’t be so bullied, without even a chance to fight back.

Now, as a snake, she could only be at the mercy of others.

“I won’t kill you. You’ll be useful later, hahaha…”

The female ghost’s cold hand slowly released her.

Moji could breathe freely again.

She now realized how precious air was. She could go without food for three days, but without air for three seconds, she might die.

The woman put Moji in a wooden cage and flew through clouds and mist.

Moji now realized she had severely underestimated her.

Even as a human, she would definitely not be her match. Thinking this, she felt more at peace. Death was death, whether as a human or a snake, there was no difference.

Handsome Prince

The woman carried her and ran for a long time, arriving at a large mansion.

The house was grand, with an ancient charm and an indescribable elegance.

The female ghost seemed very familiar with this place.

Every few steps in the courtyard, there were two guards in blue armor walking, but she skillfully avoided them.

The female ghost turned through a long corridor and passed a rockery with strange, jagged stones.

Arriving at a courtyard full of peach trees, there was a room with a lamp lit, and a tall, upright figure seemed to be standing by the window, deep in thought.

She pushed the door open, laughing softly and coquettishly: “Is the Prince thinking of this servant?”

The person turned around.
