Millennium Shadows: Love for an Ancient Prince

Ink Xiaoji was mesmerized, truly not knowing that there could be such enchanting women in the world, even more beautiful than flowers.

She moved with light steps, with an indescribable elegance that made people fall in love.

But the Dark King was not as captivated as Ink Xiaoji; he kept a cold face and didn’t want to say an extra word.

One of the white-clad women walked over seductively, with a slight smile that could make the heavens lose their color: “Dark King, you’re here.” Her eyes were like waves, carrying a thousand charms, falling on the Dark King’s handsome face.

“Thank you, Miss Cloud Ink,” the Dark King’s gaze paused on Cloud Ink, then he smiled and looked at the other white-clad woman: “Miss Cloud Sleeve, how have you been lately?”

Cloud Sleeve’s eyebrows were cold, her gaze even colder. The Dark King’s heart-stirring smile didn’t change her expression at all. She coldly glanced at the Dark King and said to Cloud Ink, “Sister, let’s go back!”

Cloud Ink bit her lip, looking at the Dark King. Finally, she stamped her foot in anger and followed her sister, disappearing ethereally.

Ink Xiaoji felt a bit uncomfortable, glancing sideways at the Dark King, who was staring at Cloud Sleeve so intensely that he might as well be in love. Yet, that beautiful woman didn’t even look at him.

Cloud Sleeve didn’t look at the Dark King, but Cloud Ink kept turning back, staring at the Dark King without blinking.

What is going on? Ink Xiaoji grimaced: “Stop looking, they’re gone.”

The Dark King withdrew his gaze, smiling even sweeter: “Are you jealous?”

“Jealous of your grandmother…” Ink Xiaoji was about to curse but suddenly realized she still needed his protection. She swallowed her words, her face looking unpleasant.

The Flower King stared at the Dark King, his eyes constantly shooting out malicious light.

He was ugly and couldn’t bear to see other men more handsome than him. Moreover, the fact that a beauty like Cloud Ink was fond of the Dark King made him even more furious. Cloud Ink and Cloud Sleeve never even looked at him, and Cloud Ink was clearly fond of the Dark King’s face.

“Hmph! I’ll peel off that face of yours and use it to grow flowers someday.”

The Dark King held Ink Xiaoji’s hand, carefully walking through the flower bushes.

At the end of the valley, another scene unfolded.

Chance Encounter

A large snake coiled at the road’s entrance, breathing out a massive core, looking quite shocking.

Ink Xiaoji, who was already afraid of snakes, hid behind the Dark King upon seeing such a large snake.

But… this snake seemed familiar, like she had seen it somewhere before.

Oh! Ink Xiaoji suddenly remembered – it was the snake from the steps of the Misty Temple.

The huge snake was comfortably sunbathing. Sensing human presence, it raised its head, its massive eyes staring at Ink Xiaoji and the Dark King.

But as it looked, the snake quickly slithered away at the fastest speed, like a wind, as if Ink Xiaoji and the Dark King were more terrifying creatures.

“What’s wrong with Mo Jian today?” A black-clad young man walked out from the nearby forest.

Seeing the Dark King, he bowed and saluted: “Dark King.”

The Dark King nodded.

The young man’s sinister gaze fell on Ink Xiaoji behind the Dark King.

The Dark King pointed at Ink Xiaoji and politely said: “This is the woman I’m presenting to my master. Please, Brother Lin Yun, send her to the master’s palace.”

The wizard rarely met people, and even the Dark King couldn’t always meet the wizard. Besides those close to him, no one knew where the wizard’s palace was located.

Black Wood Mountain was full of barriers; those who didn’t understand would lose their lives if they wandered around.

Lin Yun was not polite, his gloomy eyes scanning Ink Xiaoji up and down.

Ink Xiaoji felt like she was being examined like a commodity.

Ink Xiaoji glared fiercely at Lin Yun.

Lin Yun found it strange. Women who entered the mountain were usually carried in, and she actually had the courage to come in. However, he thought, once she entered the master’s palace, she would definitely be scared to death.

Even he, who came and went daily, was still terrified.

Skinning

Mo Xiaoji didn’t know his thoughts, only watching as the King of the Underworld left her walking in one direction, inevitably feeling a bit fearful.

“Hehe…” Lin Yun laughed coldly without genuine mirth.

Mo Xiaoji rolled her eyes at him again.

“The King of the Underworld loves us two Cloud Ladies the most, though the ladies aren’t bad,” Lin Yun added maliciously.

“Really? I see the two Cloud Ladies also like the King of the Underworld. Actually, this Brother Lin isn’t bad looking either,” Mo Xiaoji tilted her head and looked at Lin Yun, clearly showing she was also an annoying type who deliberately says things others don’t want to hear.

Lin Yun’s face darkened, coldly sneering: “You’re still so tough. When you meet the wizard, I’m afraid you won’t even be able to speak.”

Lin Yun led Mo Xiaoji to a black palace near a bamboo forest, coldly laughing: “Please go in! But you’re quite something – in hundreds of years, you’re the first to walk in through the door.”

“Oh! Why?” Mo Xiaoji asked curiously.

Lin Yun sneered: “Hmph! Because other women were thrown in. But seeing your legs are sturdy, you should be able to walk in, right? If you’re scared, I’ll just knock you out and throw you in, to avoid smelling an unpleasant odor when I’m skinning you.”

Lin Yun’s words infuriated Mo Xiaoji. Usually, she was the one bullying others, and now someone’s tongue was even more venomous than hers.

At the end of the flowers and grass, there is an incredibly bright door, made of an unknown material, flickering with dazzling radiance.

Mo Xiaoji stretched out her hand, and strangely, her hand directly reached into the door. The door seemed both nonexistent and existing. Mo Xiaoji pulled her hand back, and it was empty.

Mo Xiaoji’s heart grew increasingly fearful.

She now didn’t know if the Underworld King was truly saving her or not, and that prince who had been so good to her – was it all fake? He had even thrown her away for the sake of her life, without a care.

Suddenly, Mo Xiaoji heard a strange sound coming from inside the door.

Mo Xiaoji desperately suppressed her urge to peek, telling herself she must not look, that looking never brought good results.

But the commotion inside grew louder, and the entire palace seemed to shake.

Unsteady, Mo Xiaoji suddenly fell inside.

It seemed that whenever Mo Xiaoji needed to make a decision, her brain never worked – her body always had its own ideas.

Falling inside, Mo Xiaoji was immediately stunned.

Have you ever seen such an immortal-like man?

What prince, Underworld Prince, Jun Prince – compared to him, they weren’t even worthy of carrying his shoes.

Eyebrows like a crescent moon, slanting into his sideburns.

A perfectly carved face, a masterpiece created under heaven’s most generous treatment.

Those thin lips, glossy like water, curving into an incredibly beautiful arc.

White robe

Those lips, that nose, all seemed carved, so beautiful it made one dizzy, making one doubt who could have such skill to sculpt such a perfect being.

He wore a wide white robe embroidered with bright red flowers, flowing in the wind, covering his tall, slender figure.

His eyes were gently closed, with long eyelashes fluttering like butterflies, indescribably captivating.

Mo Xiaoji stared in shock, internally shouting: “This beautiful man is so damn good-looking! He must be the child of a beautiful mother and a beautiful father, truly skilled and talented.”
