Myth of Madness

“I think it was because I worked too long and forgot to eat. When I thought about going down the mountain for a meal, I suddenly blacked out, and then I lost consciousness.” Ah Ben scratched his head in embarrassment, giving a sheepish smile. Xu Xian’en looked at him with astonishment. How could anyone forget to eat because of work? She thought about herself, always thinking about food when working, and her life motto was: Life becomes happier because of good food.

“What kind of work are you doing?” Ever since she knew his age, Xu Xianqi sat far away.

“I’m a painter.”

Both sisters were stunned for a moment, then burst into laughter simultaneously.

“Then you must be very interested,” Xu Xian’en laughed heartily.

“Then you must be very short of money,” Xu Xianqi laughed heartily.

Hearing Xu Xianqi’s words, Shen Ben smiled slyly, then Xu Xian’en gave a slightly embarrassed smile, and soon all three of them were laughing together.

Ha… ha ha. | Chapter Two

Actually, that young girl was quite nice. At the very least, her cooking was delicious.

Shen Ben gobbled down his food, his eyes fixed on the dishes on the table like a tiger watching its prey, his right hand busy picking up vegetables and rice, vegetables and rice.

Steamed fresh shrimp, braised yellow croaker, stir-fried Chinese cabbage, broccoli in cream sauce, a small plate of pickled grapes, plus a bowl of fragrant chicken bone soup, not many dishes, but they made him eat with great relish.

While he was enjoying his meal in peace, the two sisters were incessantly arguing over “room matters.”

“Why do I have to share a room with him?” Xu Xian’en frowned hard, roughly placing her bowl on the table.

“Because I’m the older sister,” Xu Xianqi smiled softly, not at all disturbed while eating.

“Why must the younger sister sacrifice?” She shouted, glaring at her sister with frustration.

“Who told you to bring him back, and who told him, with his dead skin and thick face, to stay here?” Xu Xianqi gently dabbed at her mouth with a soft tissue. “You reap what you sow… heh heh.”

Xu Xian’en looked at the instigator with resentment, “High school boy, when are you planning to roll back home?”

The person being interrogated silently continued eating, having no time for her.

“You!”
