“Don’t be like this, I admit my mistake. I’ll remember to knock from now on, okay?” Zou Bin begged with a pained expression, knowing that her kindness was boundless, and as long as he played the part of the weak, she would always back down.
Isn’t this just taking advantage of the weak?
“I really hope you’d say no,” Xu Xian’en pinched the pillow.
“But I am saying yes.” Zou Bin flashed a harmless, endearing smile, spreading out his blanket like a child to make his bed. “Sleep, sleep!”
“Wait… wait!” she exclaimed, pointing at him with a slightly trembling hand. “You… you haven’t showered!”
“Yes, I did. I showered as soon as I got back today,” he mimicked her patting his head, noticing she often did so before sleep.
“That doesn’t count as a shower!” She widened her eyes, wondering how there could be such an unhygienic person in the world.
“Why doesn’t it count? Showering once a day is enough.” He let out a loud laugh, looking utterly harmless.
“But you went out again afterward!” She frowned at him. “I suggest you go shower again.”
“Why?” He looked at her, puzzled.
To be honest, she looked better in ancient attire than in modern clothes, but for some reason, she only wore them during holidays and when sleeping.
Following his gaze, Xu Xian’en furrowed her brows and clutched her pajamas tightly. “What… what are you looking at?”
“Nothing, just that you look better in traditional clothes than in your usual attire.” He smiled sincerely at her.
“Whatever…” She relaxed her guard.
“Alright, it’s almost midnight. If you don’t sleep now, you won’t be able to get up for practice tomorrow!” He reached over and patted her head. “Can I ask you to wake me up tomorrow when you leave for your outing? Let me sleep ten more minutes.”
Slightly overwhelmed by his overly affectionate behavior, she still had a vacant look on her face. “Ah? Um…”
Zou Ben rushed into the room and found her still sitting dazedly on the bed.
“En En! Still not asleep? I’m not waking you up tomorrow then.”
His sudden loud shout jolted her out of her daze. “Ah! I… I was asleep…”
