Myth of Madness

At the mention of Xu Xian Qi, her senses returned somewhat, and Xu Xian En stood up without thinking.

“Are you crazy? Do you want to get killed?” Zou Ben angrily grabbed her arm.

“I’m not crazy, she’s my only sister!” Xu Xian En shouted back, throwing off his grip, and with a twist of her body, she pinned Zou Ben down.

“You’re too impulsive! Do you want to die? Xian Qi isn’t as foolish as you, she’ll find a way to survive!” He embraced her from behind, using his natural male strength to restrain her.


“I am just stupid and clumsy!” She struggled with all her might, worried about her sister’s safety, her tears falling in haste. “I know she’s smarter than me, but I am her sister. Even if the sky falls, I must protect her!”

“I know you’re anxious, but can’t you just wait a moment? Now, shaking so fiercely…” A sharp pain came from her hand as Xiaoben, in his excitement, had accidentally dragged her along the ground. “Ouch! You bit me!”

Xu Jian’en, not caring about how much pain he was in, was eager to run out, completely oblivious to the imminent danger.

“En’en—be careful—”

Countless tiles fell, striking her painfully. The last thing Xu Jian’en was aware of before passing out was that he had embraced her.

Chapter Four

“It hurts so much…” She groaned, her whole body aching as she forced her eyes open.

It felt like something was pressing down on her… so heavy.

The girl was indeed strong; even though the pain was unbearable, she endured it, pushing whatever was on top of her away and sitting up.

What had been pressing on her was the upper half of Xiaoben’s body. She furrowed her brows, looking at his almost tattered clothes, his frail body marked with unbearable scars.

“Xiaoben? Xiaoben!” She shook him.

Xiaoben moved slightly, his brows furrowed, then relaxed. But he was still unconscious.

Xu Jian’en gently stroked his soft hair with a smile, not knowing why, but a sense of something settling in her heart suddenly startled her.

Shaking her head, she decided to ignore this feeling, stood up, and only then realized something was off. She tightly furrowed her brows, lifting her eyes to see surroundings different from before…
