Please Be My Princess – Part One

Father stood up and helped Tianye, “Get up. You are a man, the only heir of the Tian clan.”

You have a great career ahead; you cannot waste your heart on trivial matters. You must separate from her.” The father’s words pierced Tianye’s young soul. He said nothing, just crouched there, crying.

Soon, Tianye was taken by his father to Hong Kong, to that international metropolis.

On the private plane to Hong Kong, his father opened the cabin door and spoke to Tianye, who had just awakened from being drugged, “You are already six years old. You must learn real knowledge and develop broader abilities. I am taking you to Hong Kong now.”

Tianye raised his heavy head, “Go to Hong Kong? How am I on a plane? I want to find Meiyou.”

“Yes, going to Hong Kong. You won’t come back, and you won’t see Meiyou again,” his father said coldly, turning to leave the cabin.

“Then I’ll jump down,” Tianye bravely turned over to reach under the bed for the emergency axe.

His father quickly ran over to stop him, “Son, don’t do this. Dad begs you. You are the only heir of the Tian clan.”

“No, I want to find Meiyou,” Tianye didn’t listen to his father and continued reaching for the axe.

“Meiyou has already been sent by me to Hawaii to study.”

She’s doing well and even said she wants to compete with you in learning and will come to see you during next summer vacation,” Tianye’s father, a strong-willed man, casually fabricated a story.

“Really? You won’t lie to me?” Tianye was, after all, a child, and almost believed his father’s words.

“Yes, Dad promises you’ll meet again, but you must come back to Hong Kong and study well.” Tianye’s father extended his hand for a pinky promise.

“Okay, pinky promise.” For a child, a pinky promise was like a seal, like a contract, an unbreakable proof.

Years passed, and Tianye never stopped missing Meiyou. In his wild and unruly heart, he always kept a place for their childhood.

Whenever flowers bloomed and fell, Tianye would lean by the window, imagining Meiyou…

“Meiyou, Meiyou…” Tianye, standing outside the hospital room, called out her name, awakening from his memories.

He steadied himself, pushed open the door, and walked into the room.
