The Mysterious Bride of the Wind God

“I promise you.” Endure it; a little pain means nothing. To love her is to want her happiness.

“I know it’s been hard for you, Ya Ye. But this is fate; who made us siblings? This is the only thing that can’t be changed.” She stood up, her fingers touching his hair, “You’ve kept the same hairstyle as Nan Tiao Wei Si.”

“You still love to read comics.” He dared not move, fearing to startle her. “I will never let you suffer so much again.”

“Thank you, my brother.” Fang Feng lowered her head, accompanied by a subtle sense of loss, as if a burden had been lifted.

“It’s too late; I should go back. Will you come to the concert?” Ya Ye suppressed her excitement.

“If there are tickets left, I will.”

“I’ll have my manager think of something. Sister, I want to give you the best performance.”

Sitting in the car, he couldn’t calm down for a long time. Fang Feng, I don’t want to let go of you!

“Can you speak Chinese?” Fang Feng brought a cup of tea for Ling Mu Chun.

“Thank you. Ya Ye taught me. Can you speak Japanese?”

“I learned a bit at university. I didn’t expect Ya Ye’s manager to be his sister.”

“Last night, he rushed back and asked me to reserve the last ticket for his concert, saying it was for his sister. I was quite surprised,” Chun said with a laugh.

“What’s wrong?” Fang Feng was puzzled.

“Ya Ye, this guy, the company knew he was from Taiwan, but they knew nothing about his background. He completely erased his past. Turns out, he still has family!”

Did he do this to forget me, or to forget they were siblings?

“What’s wrong?” Seeing her suddenly fall silent, Chun asked with some concern.

“Nothing, nothing.” She quickly smiled to cover up, “Being a celebrity’s manager must be tough.”

“They’re all spoiled kids.” Ling Mu Chun laughed, “I was originally Ya Ye’s manager. Zhu Nei Zhengxiu got rid of his own manager, and the company made me his manager. The ice rink is also a hassle; he once chased away three managers in a week, probably only I can tolerate these stubborn artists.”
“Is Ya also like this?”
“He’s very troublesome. He drinks without restraint, doesn’t answer calls properly, and the rumors are endless… Oh, I’m sorry, you’re his sister, how can I talk about him like this? My apologies, my apologies.” Chun hastily apologized.
“It’s okay. Now you understand him better than I do.” Feng felt a slight sourness in her heart. How could this be? She thought he was so infatuated with her!
“I should go. You must come to the concert.”
Feng was preparing for his last concert in Taibei. The gymnasium was packed, and outside, countless fans who couldn’t get tickets gathered.
Ye Feng sat in the VIP seat, nodding in appreciation. All the equipment, including the backdrop, was transported from Japan by air.
The lights in the venue went out, eliciting sharp screams from the girls. A band descended on an elevating stage in the center, all dressed in tight black outfits and black leather pants. Now, the boys and girls were almost going crazy.
Accompanied by an intense guitar riff, Ya, dressed like a persecuted noble, descended from the sky. Feng’s heart was about to leap out of her throat. Ya, please be careful!
It seemed like everyone in the gymnasium was shouting Ya’s name. Ya took the rose from his mouth, revealing a rarely seen warm smile. “Thank you all for your support. Tonight is your night of revelry.” He kissed the rose lightly and blew a kiss in Feng’s direction.
Countless hands were vying for the rose with Ya’s kiss. Finally, a girl managed to grab it, crying out in excitement. Ye Feng didn’t move, but she understood his intention. Among so many people, those beautiful eyes were focused solely on her! She remembered when they were young, he only played with her, never noticing other girls in his eyes.
She could feel his deep, pure love. Over the past four years, her grievances and anger had dissipated. Love itself wasn’t wrong; it was fate that played tricks, and the bond of siblingship was an insurmountable barrier.
The band members, including drummer Chun, could distinctly feel Ya singing with particular emotion. It was as if he was expressing the deep-seated feelings through music and voice. It was the passion that had been long desired but could never be realized, the profound sorrow in the face of destiny!
Chun found himself crying. Ya was too outstanding. Tonight, he moved everyone in the audience.
Feng sat in her seat, stunned. It was her first time listening to Feng Shen’s song, Ya’s song. His pain was deeper than anyone else’s. What was his fault? He just fell in love with a woman he couldn’t love, loving her to the bone, willing to give up his soul for her!
Ya, Feng, my dearest brother, I’m sorry!
The concert ended perfectly. At the moment when everyone was celebrating with champagne, Ya, the star of the night, pulled Chun aside.
“What’s up! Are you staying?”
“Yes. I’ve decided.”
“You’re dreaming. You have a contract with the company; you can’t just leave!”

“I don’t want to play anymore. It’s been almost four years since I entered the entertainment industry, and it’s time to end it,” Yaer said expressionlessly.

“What about the contract? There’s still a TV series waiting for you. How are we going to handle the breach of contract? Yaer, think this through!” Chun yelled angrily. She couldn’t stand this self-centered man, the ultimate troublemaker! He always acted on impulse without considering the consequences.

Their argument drew the attention of others. Zhongzhao Qianlin was the one who reacted most intensely.

“Yaer, there must be a reason, right?” He put down his glass and approached him.

“No,” Yaer replied curtly.

“Is it because of… your sister?” Chun asked in Chinese, watching his unchanged expression. She could imagine the tumultuous storm inside him.

“It’s not for her!” he said coldly, “I’m going back to my room.”

Zhongzhao Qianlin chased after him, “Yaer, we haven’t finished talking, wait for me!”

Zhunei Zhengxiu gave a cold smile, “I didn’t expect him to get bored so quickly. This man really exceeds my expectations. I’m going back too.”

Tian Zhongwenshan turned to Bing Shi Qingjie, “Unfortunately, I like Yaer’s songs. After the band disbands, what are your plans?”

Bing Shi Qingjie looked at him, “No plans. You were the one who dragged me into the band just to fill in a song. I’m going back to my room.”

Wenshan watched his lonely figure, shaking his head in dismay. He had an exceptionally high understanding and expression of music, but sadly, he was completely indifferent to his own talents.

“Wenshan, how should I explain this to Mr. Xinjing?” Chun was completely at a loss.

“It’s not your fault, of course, Mr. Xinjing won’t think that way. Perhaps he’ll change his mind.” Tian Zhongwenshan could only console Chun in this way.

Yaer, is the most important person in your heart really Ye Feng? But you’re siblings, you won’t be happy!

Chapter Four

“Yaer, can you afford the 150 million breach of contract fee?” Chun once again tried to stop him from packing his suitcase.

He gently pushed her hand away. “I’ll earn it myself.”

“Will you let her bear this debt for the rest of her life? Can you still talk about happiness?” Chun played her last card. Only this reason might wake this man up.

He paused for two seconds, then threw a shirt into the suitcase. “I won’t hinder her happiness, I just want to stay by her side.”

Someone knocked on the door, and Chun opened it, panting, “Qianlin.”

“I want to talk to Yaer alone.”

“You try to persuade him again.” Despite having no hope, Chun still wouldn’t give up.

Zhongzhao leaned against the wall. The band members knew how to strike the coolest pose under any circumstances.

“Are you really going to quit? Can’t you change your mind?” Zhongzhao asked with a hint of humor.

“Things gather and disperse; you should understand that.”
