The Mysterious Bride of the Wind God

“I didn’t expect it to be so soon.” He lifted his delicate chin, tears in his eyes. He was already beautiful like a woman, now even more so, heart-stirringly.

When they were together, how could Yaer not understand Qianlin’s feelings? He didn’t find the other annoying; he was also indulging in a forbidden love without regret or remorse.
“Have you found the most important person to you?” Zhong Zogan asked with concern, “Would you give up everything for her?”

“Everything, including my people, my life.”

“Are you happy now?”

Ya Ye smiled, a rare tenderness floating on his handsome face. “Being by her side is all the happiness I need.”

Qian Lun stepped forward, he hooked Ya Ye’s chin, and planted a deep kiss on those sensual lips.

“Happy blessings to you, my beloved.”

Ye Feng saw through the window that Lin Mu was standing outside. She exchanged a few words with another teacher, then hurried out.

“Am I interrupting you?” Lin Mu asked, a bit worried.

“The little friend is napping.” They sat down by the flowerbed. “Do you need something from me?” Feng was puzzled; shouldn’t the wind god be preparing to return?

“Ya Ye, he’s staying.”

“How could that be?” He had said he would go back to Japan.

“For you.” She switched entirely to Japanese in her urgency. “I shouldn’t interfere in other people’s private matters. But Ya Ye is a Japanese and Southeast Asian superstar idol, his every move is under media scrutiny, he has no privacy. He will stay for you, and if the media finds out the truth, they won’t let you go. Please persuade him not to seek trouble, I beg you.” She stood up and bowed deeply.

Feng understood very little. He’s staying for me! He always makes her heart ache to tears. This won’t do, Ya Ye!

Ye Feng returned home after work. Before she could unlock the door, someone opened it from inside.

“Sister, you’re back.” It was Ya Ye.

“How did you get in?” She was startled. Realizing they were drawing attention at the doorway, she quickly pushed him inside.

“Your key, who changes the lock after a few years like you do?” He took her bag, took her coat, and diligently brought her a glass of water. “Rest for a bit, I’ll go cook.”

She sat down, thinking about how to start the conversation.

“Sister, how do you turn on the gas stove?”

She walked into the kitchen, heavens, what was he doing? An unscrambled egg floated alone in an unoiled pan, a heap of unpeeled green beans sat on the counter, and he seemed unable to even find the gas stove switch.

“Please, don’t step into the kitchen again,” she said, exasperated. “I bet you can’t cook anything edible.”

“Is that so?” He sighed helplessly. “I was hoping to share some of the household chores.”

“Are you really staying?” She followed him back to the living room, where he was wiping the table with a cloth.

“Miss Lin Mu came to find me.”

“Yes, I’ve even moved my luggage here. I, Ye Wu Feng, have officially returned to this home!” He didn’t even lift his head.

“Go back, I don’t need you here.”

“I have no ill intentions, I just want to take care of you, sister.”

“I don’t want you here! You’re twenty years old, stop acting like a child. You have a contract, responsibilities, how can you just run away without a word? What about Lin Mu, what about your band, and your fans?” She spoke without pausing, in a rapid-fire manner.
He threw down the towel, turned around, and grabbed her by the shoulders. “You only think about others, what about me? Ye Feng, I won’t leave you again! Without you, my life has no value!”

“Let go! What does it have to do with you?” she struggled, “I simply cannot love you. Your existence only troubles me. Feng Jianya, listen to me, I already have someone I like.”

“Liar! You’re lying!” he was furious, “To break my heart, you would even lie. Ye Feng, do you really find me so detestable that you can’t stand me being around without doing anything?”

“Yes!” To make him completely give up, she had only this one path left.

“Alright, since I disgust you so much, I’ll make myself even more detestable!” He gave a sinister laugh, using both hands to tear open her shirt. “I want to leave my mark on you.”

“No!” She was tightly held in his embrace, a wave of nausea overwhelmed her.

In her daze, Ye Feng seemed to see Feng Jianya, his mocking smile filled with hurt.

“I won’t hold you anymore, sister.” He was so remorseful, so melancholy.

Ye Feng opened her eyes to find herself lying on the bed with him kneeling beside it.

“Ya?” Her voice was very soft.

“Sister, I’m sorry, I…” He hung his head low, “I won’t hurt you again. Just please, please allow me to stay by your side, I beg you!”

She closed her eyes, how strong yet helpless this love was!

“Let’s go back to Japan, I’ll go with you.” She smiled with a touch of sadness, “Because I have nowhere else to escape to.”

“I’m not forcing you to leave with me. I just want to stay where you are.” He dared not lift his head, his voice filled with suppressed pain and heartache.

“I’m willing, Ya.” Ye Feng smiled with a hint of pain, “I just don’t understand why you love me, your own sister?”

Don’t ask, I’ll collapse! He looked up at her, “I’ll call Chun, we’ll meet them tomorrow. You can still refuse.”

“Can I?” Ye Feng gave a cold laugh, “Your love has left me with no choice. No matter where I go, I can’t escape.”

Tian Zhong Wenshan was happy about Feng Jianya’s return, while Bing Shiqing and Zhu Nei Zhengxiu always observed coldly, secretly admiring Ya’s actions but never showing a hint of it. The one most excited was Zhong Zuo Qianling; not only because Ya was back among them, but also because he had stolen a kiss, and he wasn’t particularly concerned about why Ya wanted to stay by his sister’s side. Perhaps it was the deep bond of siblings.

On the other hand, Ling Mu Chun was deeply worried. Ya bringing Feng back confirmed her suspicion that he loved her! A love between siblings, frowned upon by the world. Ya, with so many women in the world you could love, why choose one you can’t love? Why are you so foolish?

“Ya, come over here to help.” Qingqing pointed at the workbook, “How do you do this?”

Ya picked up the book, touched his long hair, “Looks pretty tough.”

“Let me take a look.” Fang Feng had just come to Xinyi for a visit, and she took the workbook, “He’s only at the level of a first-year high school student. Isn’t this analysis supposed to be for second-year students?”

Qing Jian shrugged, “I can’t do it; I’ve missed several classes. Among us, only Wen Shan has the highest education.”

“Sis, you do it for him. I’ll go to the recording studio to find Wen Shan.”

“Is he a college student?”

“East China Medical University, but he dropped out. Otherwise, Wen Shan would have been an outstanding foreign doctor.” Perhaps Fang Feng gave off a very approachable vibe, as Qing Jian, usually reserved, was unusually open with her.

“You must have a good relationship with Tian Zhong Wen Shan,” she lowered her head to calculate, “When you talk about him, your expression becomes very gentle.”

“Is it like the relationship between you and Ya Ye? Did he stay in Taiwan because of you?” Qing Jian from the ice room smiled slightly, with a look of seeing through the mystery.

“It’s done.” She handed the workbook back to him, “We are just siblings.”

“Then we are just friends.” His response was very quick, “But he is a very important person.”

“Any particular reason?” she asked with a smile.

“Fang Feng, so you’re here.” Chun came out of the dressing room, “Qing Jian, aren’t you supposed to be getting ready? The press conference is about to start. Where are the others?”

“They’re all in the recording studio.” Qing Jian bent over, “Our secret, no one can tell.”

“Agreed.” She watched him leave with a thoughtful expression.
