Yue Linze stared into her eyes for a long time, finally sighing: “Sometimes I’m curious why a medical genius like you seems to lack common sense at times.”
Tao Yu was startled, thinking he had discovered her identity, and carefully asked: “What do you mean, Mr. Yue?”
“If you had just glanced to the side while talking to me, you wouldn’t have said such things,” Yue Linze glanced at her and turned to walk downstairs.
Tao Yu was stunned, then looked at both sides of the door, only then discovering the massive rose bouquet was standing like a potted plant beside her. Remembering her previous words to Yue Linze, Tao Yu’s face instantly darkened, wishing she could turn back time to before her criticism.
“The food will get cold,” came Yue Linze’s laughing reminder from downstairs.
Tao Yu’s face reddened belatedly, feeling his deliberately teasing manner was extremely annoying.
But annoying as he was, he was currently her boss. Tao Yu could only curse him in her heart.
She reluctantly followed Yue Linze to his private dining room. A weight scale was placed at the entrance, flat and almost the same color as the floor. Yue Linze deliberately avoided it when walking, while Tao Yu was just focused on walking and didn’t notice the well-hidden scale.
So when she stepped on the square electronic scale, it suddenly announced: “109 pounds.”
Tao Yu was startled, looking down in horror: “Why is this here? Who put this?”
“Maybe the servant left it while cleaning,” Yue Linze said calmly.
Tao Yu raised her head with slight anger: “You’re lying. Why would a servant put a scale here while cleaning? Did you put it here?”
“Why would I put this here?” Yue Linze paused, giving her a meaningful look, “109 pounds. That’s quite heavy.”
“Nonsense! I’m tall with a lot of muscle, so I’ll naturally weigh more. But that doesn’t mean I’m fat!” Tao Yu angrily put her hands on her hips, her slender waist immediately showing a curved arc.
Yue Linze’s gaze swept over from above, knowing better than anyone how good the texture felt there. His Adam’s apple bobbed, and he stopped teasing her: “You’re not fat, I was just joking.”
