Myth of Madness

His lips seemed to turn pale.

Xu Xian’en looked at him warily, her heart filled with doubt.

Seeing her soften, he put down his bowl and chopsticks, taking a deep breath with a look of disdain. “I guess I’d better walk there myself. From what I estimate, it should only take about an hour… Plus the time for getting lost, maybe not even two hours…”

Reason was screaming in Xu Xian’en’s head, but ultimately, she couldn’t resist the speed of her softening heart. “I’ll take you there, but you have to walk back yourself! I won’t lend you the car!”

“Thanks,” Feng Qing smiled brightly.

Xu Xian’en was momentarily stunned.

“I didn’t expect our big sister has also reached the age of spring, learning to check out men’s saliva,” Xu Xianqi remarked, appearing out of nowhere with her sudden comment, startling both Feng Qing and Xu Xian’en, the latter’s face turning red.

“You… don’t talk nonsense…” Xu Xian’en awkwardly blamed her sister, then, without further ado, hurriedly finished the remaining porridge. “I… I need to change my clothes. Hurry up, Feng Qing, if you’re catching a ride.”

“Our big sister is shy,” Xu Xianqi chuckled, moving to Xu Xian’en’s side to tease her.

“You!” Her cheeks turned an even deeper shade of red.

Xu Xian’en, both embarrassed and angry, saw Feng Qing also sitting there laughing. In her anger, she grabbed her sister’s clothes, and with a twist of her left leg, tripped her to the ground.

Standing up straight, she dusted off her clothes and turned to walk back to her room.

Feng Qing stood there watching Xu Xianqi get up from the ground, her hand trembling as she pointed in the direction Xu Xian’en had left.

“Is she… always like this to you?” he asked.

With a slight smile, Xu Xianqi sat down beside him, scooping out the slightly cooled porridge from the pot. “Yeah, you’ll get used to it after staying a bit longer.”

“Is she… really that strong?” His eyes widened as he watched her just now; she indeed had the demeanor of a heroine.

“Not at all, she only has brute strength,” Xu Xianqi said, drinking the porridge.

“But… just now…” Feng Qing pointed at her and then at Xu Xian’en’s door.
