“I…” She looked at him, then at the cow.
The cow also looked at her, giving a look of schadenfreude.
“I won’t apologize!” This stubborn cow, she really wanted to give it a good kick.
Zou Bin, feeling increasingly annoyed, slapped his forehead, “You two, one of you apologize to me, and the other stand up and get ready to move. Haven’t you seen how high the sun is? Our water is almost gone, and if we don’t hurry, we’ll all be out of water. Do you want to keep arguing, or do we all die here?”
Zou Bin was angry, his voice harsh.
“Alright, alright, I’m sorry!” Xu Xian’en quickly apologized.
The cow brother also reluctantly stood up, beginning to “trot” at a “faster” pace.
This dispute between humans and cows taught the Monkey King a lesson: both humans and cows can be equally annoying.
They walked for several days in the wilderness before finally entering the country of One-Armed People. The people of this country had one arm and one eye, and even just one nostril, which is why it was called the country of One-Armed People. Given their previous experience in the Three-Bodied Country, Xuanzang and the Monkey King didn’t dare to casually ask for lodging from anyone, nor did they want to stay too long. They just wanted to quickly replenish their food and water supplies before heading towards the country of Qigao.
The cow with twelve legs, and the man with two arms, two eyes, and two nostrils, immediately drew a crowd.
“Good people all,” the Monkey King spoke without much confidence, unsure if they could understand him. “We come from a far-off country, and because we’ve run out of water and food, we are here to sell a unique delicacy from our homeland in exchange for water and food. Please come closer if you’re interested.”
The crowd grew larger, seemingly understanding what was being said.
Like in the Three-Bodied Country, he pulled out a can from his bag, “This is called a can. Just pull the tab on top, and you can instantly enjoy delicious fish.”
The Monkey King held the can in his hand, demonstrating to the crowd for a week, then with practiced ease, he pulled the tab. When the can made a “pop” sound, the surrounding people started murmuring in surprise.
