…How could he still be so focused? Was he that interesting to watch? Tao Yu raised an eyebrow, thinking she might have misunderstood him. She had previously thought watching the movie was just an excuse, and his real purpose was to spend more time with her. But now, it seemed he really did come to watch a movie?
Realizing her own overthinking, Tao Yu’s lips twitched, finding herself ridiculous. Glancing at the movie ticket under the screen’s light and seeing it showed 120 minutes, she silently mourned, knowing she had a long wait ahead.
After sitting and fiddling with her hands for a while, she finally couldn’t resist poking Yue Linze. He suddenly moved back, then stopped, calmly lowering his head to ask: “What’s wrong?”
“Are you scared?” Tao Yu raised an eyebrow. She had just seen his body tremble. Now that they were the only ones in the theater, she spoke without much restraint, knowing she wouldn’t disturb anyone.
Yue Linze glanced at her, calmly turning back to continue staring at the screen: “How could I be scared? If I were afraid of these things, I wouldn’t have brought you here to watch.”
Tao Yu let out a skeptical snort. If he wasn’t scared at all, how could he have made such a move? Thinking about how silent he’d been since entering, she guessed he’d been frightened from the beginning.
A scared big shot – Tao Yu looked at him with interest, trying to analyze his level of fear from his microexpressions. Yue Linze, already tired from the movie, finally couldn’t stand being constantly watched and pinched her face, forcing her to look at the screen.
“Don’t disturb me,” Yue Linze said unpleasantly. He had initially thought about their previous movie-watching experience in the spiritual world, hoping it might enhance their relationship, but he hadn’t expected to have bought the wrong ticket and ended up with a realistic horror film.
Not only was Tao Yu not scared, but he was now somewhat overwhelmed. If he had left while she hadn’t noticed his discomfort earlier, he might have found an excuse, but now that was impossible without looking like a coward.
Seeing Yue Linze’s poor complexion, Tao Yu worried she might have frightened him and softly said, “Let’s go out.”
