“Go out? We’re watching a movie,” Yue Linze said rigidly.
Tao Yu laughed, “Watch what? Can you even walk after this?”
Facing her obvious disdain, Yue Linze gave her a sidelong glance. Tao Yu laughed even more brazenly, reaching out to pinch his arm and finding it so tense it might tear his jacket. She playfully curled her lips: “Are you this nervous? Will your muscles be sore tomorrow? Let’s just go, why suffer here?”
“Are you sure I’m the one who’s scared?” Yue Linze gave her a sideways look. “You were just saying we shouldn’t waste the movie ticket, and now you’re finding reasons to leave. I think you’re the one who’s scared.”
Tao Yu pursed her lips, seeing he was being stubborn, and decided to ignore him. She leaned sideways on the armrest, watching him leisurely. The big shot’s expression was now much more interesting than the movie.
Yue Linze could naturally see she was deliberately mocking him, so he maintained a stern face and continued watching, determined not to let her laugh at him.
The movie had reached its first small climax. On the screen, a young man’s face showed a hint of terror, as if someone was behind him but he was powerless. At the moment the black-clad figure raised a reflective knife, Tao Yu suddenly grabbed Yue Linze’s arm, making him tremble.
“Haha…” Tao Yu collapsed onto the sofa, laughing so hard tears were about to come out. “Keep pretending, go on…”
Yue Linze’s face flushed slightly as he tried to remain calm: “Stop laughing.”
Tao Yu was enjoying herself and couldn’t hear his voice. After repeating himself twice and seeing she not only didn’t stop but laughed even harder, Yue Linze finally couldn’t bear it. He grabbed her and pulled her close, kissing her forcefully across the armrest.At this moment, they were standing in the elevator going downstairs, and the surrounding noise effectively masked the previous awkwardness. The heat on Tao Yu’s face gradually subsided. After saying this, she thought Yue Linze would refute her and was prepared to respond, but she didn’t hear his reply for a long time.
