Yandere Begs for a Break – Part Three

Seemingly sensing her unease, Yue Linze looked over at her. After a moment of dullness, he slowly said, “I’m indeed a bit scared.”

Tao Yu was first stunned, then couldn’t help but laugh. She hadn’t expected Master Yue to be so frank. Seeing her laugh continuously, Yue Linze helplessly sighed, “I thought I was quite brave, but now it seems that while I can handle some ghostly things, I can’t handle these realistic scenarios.”

Tao Yu immediately remembered that the horror films Yue Lin liked mostly had ghostly elements, while the lord of another world was actually a coward who couldn’t even watch an autopsy. So Master Yue was a combination of these two attributes? She had a slight smile at the corner of her mouth and inexplicably sighed.

Just as she lowered her head in disappointment, Yue Linze’s hand grabbed hers. Tao Yu instinctively tried to pull away, but Yue Linze gripped tighter: “Do you hate me that much?”

“…It’s not hate, please let go first,” Tao Yu struggled a few times without success and looked at him helplessly. “It’s not hate, just too many factors. Sorry, Mr. Yue.”

“Let me hold on just a bit longer. I’ll let go when we reach the ground,” Yue Linze said, lowering his eyes.

Tao Yu lowered her head and stopped talking. The cinema was on the fourth floor, and they were in a stepped elevator, with just a short section left before reaching the bottom.

Just hold on for a dozen seconds.

Those dozen seconds passed in the blink of an eye. Yue Linze let go of her hand as promised and walked out ahead of her. Tao Yu stared blankly at his tall, slender back, thinking this would be the end, that they would never meet again, and they should each cherish this moment.

…She felt quite sorry that he had fallen in love with her six times, and she had never been truly honest with him.

“Stop right there!”

A rough male voice rang out, followed by commotion from the surrounding crowd. Tao Yu was startled and looked up to see a man with a knife charging towards her. She stood there in a daze, and her first reaction wasn’t to run, but: Had her high-interest loan been discovered?!
