Crazy Smartphone – Part Three [Completed]

“Contact Fujii Yoshimura immediately. Cancel the original plan, and take control of the situation no matter what. I think we’ve all been fooled by the Chinese! Ah, we’ve underestimated them; this is my fault, oh~ the East~ that mysterious Eastern world~ what exactly~ is happening over there~ I heard~ two princes have already died at the Demon Banquet~~~ those two died when they rashly ventured into that ancient Eastern country last time! Today, another two princes have fallen, and this time, nearly a hundred of their followers as well! Are they all dead? Yes, in a dim, yellow-lit underground chamber, a group of pale-faced elders were seated around a large round table, fiercely debating an ancient topic. Above the chamber, a screen of light suddenly appeared, displaying a lengthy passage of mysterious and obscure ancient script. If an archaeologist specializing in prehistoric culture were fortunate enough to witness this miraculous scene, they would certainly be driven to madness by the splendor of the display. That long passage of ancient script, when translated into modern language, turned out to be the earliest textual record of the so-called ‘God Creation Plan’ that has long circulated in the world of super-powered beings. These symbols, half real, half illusory, somewhat resembling prehistoric human pictographs, and somewhat like ancient hieroglyphs, if viewed from a different angle, were strikingly similar to the patterns of a mutated code known as ‘Thousand Illusions Ancient Coke’ that someone had once encountered in their mind. Unfortunately, this person had no chance to see this peculiar scene in the underground chamber, otherwise, he would have been shocked to the point of his eyeballs bursting.”

A knock at the door interrupted. At that moment, Lin Feng’s mind received a series of the latest system notifications: “Congratulations to player Ghost Hand Merciless for successfully completing the ultimate BOSS protection mission at the Mohunla Shrine. In recognition of your outstanding performance in the game space, the system awards…” Startled by the knock, Lin Feng didn’t have time to check what the rewards were. He quickly hid the various protective measures he had set up, rolled out of bed, and pretended to be half-asleep, lazily walking over to open the door. However, he didn’t notice that his pajamas were covered with a wet, sticky mess from who-knows-what.

“Why is it you?” Lin Feng was reluctant to let the person in.

“Mr. Lin, you haven’t shown up at the company all day; there are many matters waiting for your attention!” said the visitor, none other than Tian Yingzi, with whom he had a one-night stand.

“Mr. Lin, the publisher of ‘Fantasy World’ has come to the headquarters regarding the termination of our previous cooperation contract. This issue requires your personal attention!”

“Termination? Why, isn’t there still half a year left on the contract for ‘Fantasy World’?”

“Mr. Lin, aren’t you going to invite me in? It’s not appropriate to discuss this at the door.”

“Uh, my room is quite messy; it’s not suitable for you to come in. Wait here for a moment; I’ll change my clothes quickly.”

Lin Feng dared not be alone with Tian Yingzi again, recalling their last encounter which led to an unintended intimacy. He remembered clearly that she must have known what happened then, especially since she took evidence with her when she left.

Tian Yingzi, however, didn’t wait for an invitation and walked straight into Lin Feng’s bedroom. “What’s that smell!” she exclaimed, wrinkling her nose. “Your room is a mess; don’t you ever go out?”

Her tone lacked any respect for Lin Feng as the company president, treating him more like a familiar boyfriend as she started to tidy up the room.

“Oh, Xiao Tian, leave it! The hotel staff will clean up. Please, sit down!” Lin Feng was flustered, with clothes scattered around his bed. He would have welcomed his mother or Xiao Yun, his close female friends, to tidy up for him, but with Tian Yingzi, given their ambiguous relationship, he was cautious not to send the wrong signals.

The hardest thing to bear is the favor of a beautiful woman. That day was indeed strange; after guarding his virginity for eighteen years, he lost it twice in a row. Lin Feng still couldn’t understand how he ended up in intimate situations with both Xu Xiaoman and Tian Yingzi. He now had an extra “sister” Xiaoman to deal with, and if Tian Yingzi, who was supposed to be monitoring him, also became involved, he certainly wasn’t in a position to casually juggle relationships, especially not when his beloved Xiao Yun, his first love and the woman he intended to cherish for life, was in the picture. He couldn’t keep defiling that pure love. With Xu Xiaoman, he had at least some fantasies, and he didn’t dislike spending time with her. But Tian Yingzi was his adversary, placed there to watch over him. How could he let a fleeting encounter shake his core beliefs and act irrationally? If not for the mind-reading kiss during that wild encounter, revealing her background and her relatively simple past, he wouldn’t be in such a dilemma now.

To put it bluntly, as a man, who wouldn’t wish for more such romantic encounters? What made it difficult for him to handle was knowing her inner world, realizing she was still a virgin, and after their accidental encounter, he couldn’t bring himself to be cold or heartless towards her. He couldn’t bear to hurt her. But now, with her actions speaking louder than words, what was he to do?
