“Yes!” They acknowledged and dispersed.
“What are you going to do?” she asked nervously.
“Don’t worry, I’m just having them deliver a message. Soon, Kong Jue will come, and then you’ll have no problem going up Lingxiao Peak!”
Her mouth gaped in shock. Tianmai was truly terrifying, knowing so much. It seemed she had no secrets before him.
There were no other Right Wing Hall members here, presumably fighting with government troops outside.
Tianmai’s face was calm, his smile displaying confidence. Would he be the ultimate winner in this conflict?
“Hall Master, everything is developing according to plan,” Tang Liuli reported.
“Go do what you need to do!” Tianmai said softly.
“Yes!”
“He’s here!” Tianmai’s eyes tightened, his mouth curling slightly, “The good show is about to begin.”
Moments later, Tianmai grabbed her, and they were at the peak of Lingxiao. Despite the windless day, standing at the peak felt cold. As she looked into the abyss below, she was suddenly pushed down.
“Madam!” Kong Jue’s voice reached her.
“Yu Lie…” In an instant, she was caught by Kong Jue. He used his sword against the cliff wall and flew sideways. They quickly spotted the ‘Not Dead Ice Flower’ cave, and he darted into it but was struck hard by Tianmai.
“It’s fortunate your inner strength is depleted. Otherwise, I couldn’t have hurt you,” Tianmai said, his narrowed eyes gleaming dangerously.
“You…” She looked at Tianmai in disbelief, then turned to Kong Jue, whose face was pale. Panic surged as she touched his cold face, trembling, “Don’t scare me. You’ll be fine…”
“Come here!”
“Tianmai grabbed her, coldly laughing, ‘Don’t worry, he won’t die. Now, go pick the ‘Not Dead Ice Flower’, or I can’t guarantee his life.’
‘You…’ She glared at him, knowing he was an enemy but never expecting him to push her off Lingxiao Peak. ‘Despicable!’
Tianmai’s eyes narrowed as he gripped her neck, his tone icy. ‘Madam, don’t test my patience. Obey me. I’m not one to show mercy!’
‘Let her go!’ Kong Jue struggled to stand, his voice weak.
‘Let her go?’ Tianmai released her, pulling her into his embrace, lifting her chin with an evil smile. ‘Such a beautiful woman, how could I let go?’
‘You!’ Kong Jue’s anger surged, but he suddenly coughed out blood and collapsed.
‘Kong Jue!’ She screamed, struggling against Tianmai’s grip. She looked at Kong Jue on the ground—his black hair disheveled, jade complexion bloodless, half-closed eyes staring blankly. Blood at the corner of his mouth flowed onto the crystal ice, like a blood-red rose blooming in the ice and snow—tragically beautiful.
‘Don’t move again! Otherwise, don’t blame me if you harm the child in your belly!’ Tianmai’s cold voice made her stop.
‘You must not die, you absolutely cannot die!’ she murmured, tears silently sliding down.”
Whether you are Kongque or Yulie, I cannot bear to lose you again, cannot let you die for me again.
“Stop crying!” Tianmei’s voice was stern yet softer, staring at the hand wiping tears.
“Don’t touch me!” I dodged his hand and turned away.
“I said one day I will no longer call you ‘wife’!” Tianmei forcefully turned my face, looking directly into my eyes. “From now on, you are mine!”
“Don’t even think about it! I will never be yours; you are worse than a devil,” I said hatefully, lowering my eyes.
“A devil?” Tianmei’s face darkened, tightening his grip on my hand, then suddenly laughed. “Yes! I’m more dangerous than a devil, so you’d better cooperate with me; otherwise… you know the consequences.”
“…” I had nothing else to say.
“Now, go pick the ‘Immortal Ice Flower!'” he commanded.
“…” I was about to refuse, but seeing Kongque beside me, I held back.
Turning to look deep into the ice cave, I discovered an extraordinary world of ice flowers. Various large and small ice flowers were embedded in the ice wall, some about to bloom, others in full display. I hesitated, unsure whether to pick them.
“Hurry up, or he’ll be dead!” Tianmei coldly reminded.
Steadying myself, I closed my eyes and reached out to pick an ice flower.
Tianmei stared in astonishment at the ice flower in my hand, reaching for it but unable to grasp it like a shadow. Seizing the moment, I ran to Kongque’s side and brought the flower close to him.
“Quick! Smell its fragrance,” I urged. Kongque, though puzzled, complied, and the flower vanished from his hand.
“This…” Kongque stared at his empty palm, suddenly grimacing in pain while holding his head.
Although confused, she refrained from questioning, thinking that tomorrow’s matters could wait. Leaning into Tianmei’s embrace, she soon fell asleep.
In her slumber, she felt surrounded by many people, the noise rousing her. Opening her eyes, she saw her husbands, Molei, Jinglei, and even the little rascal. Dazed, she asked, “Why are you all here? How did you come?”
“Xiao Ai…” Nangong Mo called her name but did not answer her question. She noticed everyone’s strange expressions and realized she was still in Tianmei’s arms.
“I didn’t expect you to arrive so quickly. But where are Young Master Qiao, Young Master Mo, and Young Master Bai?”
Tianmei’s mouth curved into a sinister smile as he tightened his grip on her arm.
“Are you asking about your three little demons?” Xieying’s evil seemed much cuter in comparison.
“They… are at the mercy of fate, aren’t they?” Tianmei replied indifferently.
“Perhaps. Your life ends here today!” Lengan Hun coldly stared at Tianmei, wary of harming her.
“Want to take my life? Let’s see if you have the ability!” Tianmei showed no fear, perhaps because of the girl in his arms.
“Be a man and let her go! Let’s have a fair fight!” Huo Lingyun exclaimed angrily.
“She cannot be released!” Tianmei scanned everyone seriously, stating, “She is mine, and I will never let her go!”
“Ai’er, you…” Qiao Ruofeng looked worried, “Ai’er, don’t scare me!”
“Little Ai Ai!” The panicked voice of a child broke through.
“Ai Ai.”
The scene before her became chaotic, with her vision blurring. She heard an anxious voice, seemingly Tianmei’s. Touching her belly, she knew her complexion must look terrible. Crouching down in pain, she sighed, thinking this child was probably a boy, being so mischievous.
Suddenly, her ears filled with loud noise. Frowning in pain, she thought, could there be cars in hell? Abruptly, she opened her eyes, incredulous at the scene before her, rubbing her eyes to confirm it wasn’t a dream.
I was lying on a park lawn near a fountain dancing to music, with vehicles flowing continuously on the road.
“Grandpa, look! There’s a fairy here!” A child suddenly stared at me with bright eyes.
The child’s words reminded me of my situation, and I quickly stood up, realizing my appearance hadn’t changed. But how did I return?
“Good grandson, that’s just a film shoot,” the child’s grandfather explained, looking me up and down.
“Excuse me, where is this?” I needed to understand my location.
“Here?” The old man was surprised by my question and pointed nearby. “This is a leisure square. How did you…”
“Oh, thank you!” I left the lawn and walked a few steps to see the huge outdoor TV displaying the time. I felt strange; it had been nearly three months since I last left, while my first crossing took less than a day. Did my body’s difference affect this?
“Miss, do you need help?” I heard an inquiring voice.
Looking up, I saw a police officer. A crowd had gathered, and I hoped they wouldn’t think I was a mental patient. I smiled and shook my head. “No, I’m just out taking photos but can’t find my photographer.”
“Oh, you’re a model!” the officer replied kindly. “They might have left already.”
You should go back – dressed like this in the square might cause a disturbance!”
