The Struggling CEO

“She not only saved me, but during the period after I woke up and lost my memory, she was the one who took care of me,” Wei Tianlang said gratefully, looking at Fiona.

“She came back with me this time because she said she could only feel at ease after safely sending me home,” he added.

Yi An couldn’t help but praise directly: “Ah, Fiona, you’re such a good person. Tianlang is truly fortunate to have met you.” She saved Tianlang, so she was also his benefactor!

“If that’s the case, then we met too late,” Fiona responded with a faint smile, her eyes showing a sense of detachment, leaving much room for imagination.

Only Wei Fang Yalan understood the implications of this statement, as an observer. She subtly restrained her smile and began to observe.

“Who says it’s too late? We met at just the right time, otherwise how would I still be alive?” Wei Tianlang blurted out without much thought.

“That’s right!” Yi An nodded in agreement.

Fiona’s expression slightly stiffened, forcing an awkward smile, somewhat annoyed at Wei Tianlang’s lack of sensitivity.

“So we must properly entertain our honored guest Fiona!” Wei Fang Yalan, noticing her subtle expression, spoke up to smooth things over.

“Of course,” Wei Tianlang smiled at Fiona, then turned to his mother and girlfriend: “Are we eating out or at home today?”

“At home. It’s already prepared – your favorite seafood hot pot. We’ll go back and chat while eating,” Yi An said with a sweet smile, creating two small dimples.

“Fiona, let’s go,” Wei Tianlang said gentlemanly, gesturing for her to join him. Fiona, however, confidently and proactively linked her arm with Wei Tianlang’s.

Wei Tianlang paused slightly but didn’t mind, calmly accepting her gesture. He understood that Fiona, having grown up abroad, naturally had a more Western style. Although he currently wanted to be closer to his mother and girlfriend, she was the guest he brought, so he must prioritize taking care of her.

This sudden action momentarily froze Yi An’s smile, but after meeting Wei Fang Yalan’s gaze, she immediately shrugged and opened a wider smile, linking arms with her and following behind.

Yi An, filled with gratitude, innocently didn’t think too much, simply considering Fiona’s behavior as an open, Western-style approach. She didn’t want to be narrow-minded.

However, Wei Fang Yalan was secretly worried for Yi An.

This woman’s feelings towards Tianlang seemed far from simple friendship!

If her suspicions were correct, the situation might be becoming quite complicated…

The first meal after returning from tribulation involved more talking than eating, with everyone sharing the events and emotions of recent times.

Wei Tianlang’s survival could only be described as a miracle. Had it not been his destiny to live, the other two passengers in the same vehicle would not have died while he alone was saved.

Even though Tianlang had lost his memory for a time, he was fortunate to recover, truly having burned good incense in his previous life.

And for all this, they had to thank Fiona. So Wei Tianlang treated her extremely well, which Yi An saw as completely natural and justified.

“Ge Ma, go find some burn medication.”

The servant cleaning up, said offhandedly: “Madam, don’t worry, I’ve been holding this soup for a while, it’s already warm, it won’t cause burns.”

Wei Fang Yalan’s heart suddenly skipped a beat.

Fiona had clearly just shouted that it was very hot! Why would she pretend?

It seems this girl is quite calculating, while Yi An is too pure, too kind, and because of their life-saving relationship, she has no guard against her at all. She must be especially careful!

In the private time of the night, Wei Tian Lang and Yi An finally could be alone, warm night lights casting a soft halo in the comfortable bedroom.

Wei Tian Lang hugged her from behind, just holding her like this, quietly gazing at the moonlight, feeling happiness and satisfaction.

All the pressure in Yi An’s heart was released at this moment. Leaning on his chest, she felt like she had walked a long road, been tired for so long, and finally found sweetness after bitterness.

“I didn’t expect your relationship with Mom to become so good recently,” Wei Tian Lang suddenly spoke casually, surprised and delighted that his mother agreed to Yi An moving into his bedroom.

“Of course, thanks to you!” Yi An glanced at him sideways.

“Oh? How so?” He deliberately asked, just wanting to hear her talk more.

Recalling that time, she couldn’t help but take a deep breath first. That pain, even remembering it now makes her afraid!

“Because we both love you the most. Losing you, we were equally heartbroken. So during this time, the feeling of sharing difficulties brought us closer.” She avoided the key point, not daring to mention how her suicidal impulse shocked Wei Fang Yalan.

Little did she know that he had a girlfriend, and most troublingly, she was pregnant. This was truly exasperating for her!

However, it didn’t matter. After observing for several days, she discovered that Luo Yian was a naive and gullible woman who could easily be trapped as long as love was used as a pretext.

In contrast, winning over Wei Tianlang would be more difficult, because it was clear he was extremely gentle and doting towards Yian. Yet precisely because of this special affection, she was even more drawn to him and more eager to be the woman he cherished.

That night, seeing Wei Tianlang’s study light was still on, Fei’onna found an excuse to enter. After chatting for a while, she boldly confessed her love, confident that he wouldn’t refuse her due to their life-saving relationship.

“Tianlang, I’ve been so good to you, even following you across the ocean to Taiwan. Don’t you know my feelings?” Fei’onna sat close to him.

Previously, during his amnesia, they were often together. But since he recovered his memories, he had maintained distance and become so aloof, which made her feel deeply disappointed.

Wei Tianlang moved away in surprise.

How could she suddenly confess to him?

“Fei’onna, I’m sorry, I have Yian. We were already dating for a long time before the incident,” he mentioned his official girlfriend, believing she would understand.

“As long as you’re not married, you still have a chance to choose again,” she moved closer, leaving him no space to dodge.

“Fei’onna, I’ve already chosen,” he frowned, displeased with her statement, but still trying to refuse politely.

“Don’t you like me?” She stared at him directly, extremely confident.

“I do like you, but that’s not…” Wei Tianlang tried to explain that liking has different meanings, but she interrupted and interpreted it her way.

“I knew you liked me. My feelings were right,” she said, leaning entirely on him. “Tianlang, if you hadn’t recovered your memories, we would definitely be together. Don’t you think it’s a pity things are like this now?”

He shook his head, finding her self-assured thoughts absurd, yet not wanting to hurt their friendship with harsh words.

“There are no ‘what ifs’. The fact is I’ve recovered my memories, and in reality, I’m already with Yian. I can only say thank you for your misplaced feelings and hope you can direct your emotions towards the right person,” he clearly expressed his stance without being too harsh.

“I’m not satisfied. She’s just luckier, having known you earlier. If we had a fair chance, I believe you would choose me, not her!” She was indignant, her eyes reddening, bizarrely jealous of Yian.

“Stop it. Yian has been loyal and righteous to me. I could never betray her,” he extended his hand to keep her at a distance, refusing to be tempted.

“Aren’t I loyal and righteous to you?” she challenged.

“That’s different,” he turned away.
