What delighted Su Yao was the success of Ah Cao’s thieves’ group; several skilled members became survivors of their respective maps, proving themselves worthy of her training. Su Yao was pleased as she looked at the announcements; Ah Cao on Map 11, and others from Map 12 to 19… Wait, why hadn’t there been an announcement for Map 19 yet? Su Yao remembered that in Map 19 was a thief named “Just Passing By”, a girl who had mastered most of her techniques. By now, there should have been a result. Could there be some hidden master in there?

Eventually, all results were out except for Map 19, the last one to be announced. Qin Chuan, bored from waiting, ordered takeout for Su Yao, and finally, the official website refreshed with the announcement.

Map 19 — “Liuli Liuli”, occupation: Holy Hall Priest, Level: 200.

Su Yao was furious! Liuli Liuli’s notorious incompetence was known throughout the human realm; her appearance was as laughable as Ji Canghai’s advancement. Su Yao called Ah Cao, who said nothing but had her listen to the conversation on the voice channel.

“Lu Lu, how the hell did you lose to that bitch???”

“I was so screwed! Everything was going smoothly until the PK with her; my controls started to lag like hell! Damn, it was unbearable! She could move ten steps while I could only move one, what the hell is this?”

“Your computer acting up?”

“No way, my computer is fine; it’s the game itself that’s messed up, like it’s intentionally lagging my network…”

“Damn, did the public toilet really sleep with someone from the game’s internal staff? To clear suspicion, they pulled this on you?”

“Lu Lu, don’t worry, the brothers will go to the capital and get revenge for you!”

“Yeah, haha, and our big brother said he’d give you his divine suit when the time comes.”

Ah Cao: “Screw you!”

Listening to the group of naturally optimistic guys fooling around again on the voice channel, Su Yao felt the gloom from earlier dissipate. What did it matter if they lost one map? What did it matter if someone cheated? When the real test came, the truth would be revealed.

Su Yao turned off her computer, lay down on her bed, and went to sleep, not noticing Qin Chuan’s subtle change in expression when he saw the winner of Map 15.

A week later.

Su Yao and Qin Chuan checked into the Prosperous Hotel with their IDs and entry tickets. The hotel is a five-star establishment, right in the heart of City B’s commercial district, not far from the Human Realm Gaming Company. For this final tournament where thirty-six contestants vie for the divine artifact, the game company booked an entire floor of luxurious suites for the participants. This move was not only to showcase their financial prowess but also to attract media attention and promote their brand. It was also a way to reward their veteran players; after all, these thirty-six elite players had fought their way through nearly a million competitors.

With the game’s copyrights sold to Japan, Korea, and Western markets, future international competitions are on the horizon, and these players could very well become ambassadors representing their nation. Being locals and having arrived early, they each collected their room keys and credentials. They noticed that not many people had arrived yet, or at least, no one they recognized. Su Yao didn’t want to flaunt her contestant badge, while Qin Chuan stuffed his into his pocket.

“Here we are, yours,” Qin Chuan said, pulling the distracted Su Yao, who had been texting, to her room door. Room 8102. Su Yao swiped her card to enter, still texting, and only after a while did she realize Qin Chuan hadn’t left her room. “Aren’t you next door?” she asked blankly. Although they were all in large suites, the wealthy game company had arranged for each contestant to have their own suite.

Qin Chuan fixed his gaze on her phone, which was still buzzing with messages, his look growing increasingly unfriendly. “Is texting… that… um… fun?”

But why did he grit his teeth, utter a sentence, and then pick her up and throw her onto the big bed in the room! Oh no! Her message wasn’t finished! However, when his hot breath was on her face, she wisely tossed her phone aside, allowing him to slowly undress her. Okay, her period was finally over.

Qin Chuan, thinking of the XXX scene from her erotic fanfiction, wanted nothing more than to devour her entirely. Their breathing grew chaotic, heavier, until Qin Chuan noticed her phone screen still lit up. He grabbed it, pressed the power button, and said, “This time, we can’t let the phone spoil things.” With a squint and a smile, he tossed the phone aside and bit her disobedient lips, letting her hands roam freely over him. “You… really want this, huh? Hmm?”

On this glorious day, with clear skies, sunlight streaming through the curtains onto the bed, two people who had long desired each other began their game in earnest. Finally, the great demoness, panting, reached out her demonic claws to struggle with Qin Chuan’s pants, craving his fiery touch inside her… “Qin Chuan, I want…”

The intern checked the details, all correct. “Room 8102,” she said, handing him the key card. Only then did she realize something was amiss; room 8102 was supposed to have one main card and one spare, but now only the spare was left. In a fluster, she gave him the spare key and, after he had walked away, frantically searched for the main key’s whereabouts. Ah, she realized she had mixed up rooms 8012 and 8102. The person with the key to 8102 should be in 8012… She quickly checked the records. Oh, it was a woman named Su Yao. The intern hastily picked up the phone to call.

“Sorry, the number you have dialed is currently switched off…”

…When Wang Shenmu “beeped” the door open, set down his luggage, and intended to rest in the bedroom, he heard a muffled “Qin Chuan, I want…” from behind the ajar door. The shocked chief planner of the Human Realm kicked the door open, and the next second, his eyes shattered on the floor. What the hell!!! Why were there two dogs on his bed, doing it!!!

Wang Shenmu almost fled in terror. At the door, still in shock, he pulled out his key card again.

Room 8102, he checked the door number again, 8102. This was indeed his room! His bed! But why was someone on his bed? Cursing, Wang Shenmu stormed back inside. He had made up his mind; it was his bed, why should he leave? He was going to throw out these strangers!

Qin Chuan, now dressed, closed the door and stood in the living room, his expression dark. Facing Wang Shenmu who had re-entered, he uttered only three words:

“Get out.”

Anyone would get angry, especially a man whose meal was interrupted right before it began. Qin Chuan gritted his teeth, really wanting to confront the man before him, even though they were both victims of the receptionist’s mistake.

“This is my room, you should be the one to leave, right?” Wang Shenmu slapped his key card onto the coffee table. He recognized the man in front of him; it was the same one who had fought him over a taxi at an internet cafe. Damn, what a small world! Wang Shenmu felt a wave of nausea. He was determined to reclaim his room; it was a matter of dignity, but once reclaimed, he would definitely change rooms. The bed where this couple had been was as repulsive to him as a cesspit.

Qin Chuan also recognized Wang Shenmu.
