Seeing the dog was uncontrollable, the staff had no choice but to let go of the leash. Released, Scruffy dashed towards Shen Qian like a kite off its string. Just as the reunion was about to happen, Scruffy suddenly swerved, bypassing Shen Qian’s embrace, and headed straight for You Ran.
Shen Qian was instantly petrified, turning mechanically to see Scruffy dancing in front of You Ran, occasionally landing on all fours, pawing at You Ran’s head. You Ran, however, squinted his eyes, tilted his head back, and shook his ears.
Shen Qian felt a pang of sadness. This was what they called ‘forgetting your mother once you get a wife’. Who had raised this ungrateful dog from puppyhood, and now it completely ignored her?
You Ran, looking at the affectionate scene between the two dogs, couldn’t help but laugh. When he looked up, Shen Qian was already by his side, glaring at Scruffy with her cheeks puffed out.
You Ran said, “The family is reunited.”
“Tomorrow, find a handsome dog to seduce Shallow,” Shen Qian gritted her teeth.
You Ran raised an eyebrow, “Do you want Scruffy to assault Shallow again?”
“Eh? Why would Scruffy assault Shallow again?”
“A pregnant dog is usually left alone, much like humans. Pregnant women, men usually don’t dare to touch.” You Ran looked Shen Qian up and down, seemingly pondering something as he said this.
Shen Qian was frightened by his calculating look, trembling as she pulled Scruffy, who was still flirting with Shallow, towards You Ran, “Let’s hurry to the pier.”
“Okay.”
When they arrived at the pier, the cruise ship was there, with many people coming and going, and staff members loading and unloading goods, looking quite busy. Just as they boarded, they saw Li Meili waving from the other side of the deck.
Shen Qian walked over, surprised to see her alone, “Where’s Gao Changfeng?”
“He went to buy local specialties for me.”
“You’re always eating.” Shen Qian teased her.
Scruffy’s first reaction upon seeing Li Meili was to bark, “Woof, woof…” It seemed to be either showing off or reminding Li Meili of its presence.
