Little Demon, Don’t Go

Yu Xiaoye smiled, mixed with blood, looking horrifying in the dim light.

“I knew you would come.”

Footsteps echoed in the alley.

“Yu Xiaoye!!! Are you there??” An anxious voice called out.

Closed her eyes, falling into a sweet coma.

Geng Youyang and Xi Lang were stunned.

“Geng Youyang, quickly take Xiaoye to the hospital,” Lin Yichen urged.

Geng Youyang, glancing at Lin Yichen, silently picked up Yu Xiaoye from the ground, while Er Qiang watched him run out of the alley.

Xi Lang draped his coat over Lin Yichen.

“Okay, brothers, how do you want to play?” he said, winking playfully at the stunned trio.

Screams continued from the alley. Xiaoye, you must be okay…

In the car heading to the hospital, Geng Youyang urged the driver, “Sir, please hurry, go faster.”

The driver, seeing Geng Youyang’s anxious face and Yu Xiaoye covered in blood through the rearview mirror, gritted his teeth, stepped on the gas, and ran a red light.

Geng Youyang had never been this scared before.

She slept quietly.

Without the blood stains, her sleeping appearance would have been peaceful.

If it were usual times, she would probably be yelling. Now she was frightfully quiet.

“Xiaoye, talk to me…”

“Xiaoye,” Geng Youyang cupped her blood-stained face. “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have been angry. I’m sorry I came too late. I’m sorry you suffered, I’m sorry…”

Geng Youyang hit his own head in frustration.

“Geng Youyang…”

“Uh…” He looked at her, meeting her mischievous eyes.

“You’re too noisy.”

“…”

“But I accept your apology,” Yu Xiaoye said, closing her eyes again.

Geng Youyang turned bright red. She knew everything.

The taxi rushed to the hospital. Geng Youyang paid and carried Yu Xiaoye into the emergency room.

“Doctor, is she okay? Should we do a full body check?” he nervously asked as the doctor disinfected her wound.

“Ah… it hurts!” Yu Xiaoye cried out.

Geng Youyang leaned in, carefully staring at her wound, gently blowing on it.

This rare gentleness made Yu Xiaoye blush. “Hey, Geng Youyang, why are you getting so close?” She reached out to push him away.

“Does it still hurt?”

Geng Youyang kept blowing on Yu Xiaoye’s wound, his serious expression slowly replaced by a wide smile as he realized she was okay.

“You…” Yu Xiaoye noticed the change in his demeanor and laughed, “Geng Youyang, are you okay? Should you get a full body check?”

A strong cold wind hit her wound, prompting Yu Xiaoye to cry out in pain. “Geng Youyang, you’re despicable…”

“I’ll do a simple treatment first. The wound isn’t deep and doesn’t seem to have damaged any nerves,” the doctor interjected, “But not suturing will affect appearance, so we’ll perform a suture surgery tomorrow.” After bandaging her, the doctor smiled at Geng Youyang. “Go handle the hospital admission for your girlfriend.”

“Doctor, he’s not…” Yu Xiaoye tried to clarify.

“Shut up! Stay here and wait for me to come back,” he retorted.

As Geng Youyang left, the young female doctor commented, “Your boyfriend is so handsome, and he seems very worried about you.”

Boyfriend?

Quickly handling the admission procedures, Geng Youyang returned, checking the bandage on Yu Xiaoye’s head. Without a word, he gently picked her up in his arms.

“Ah!” Yu Xiaoye exclaimed as she was lifted into the air, her face turning as red as a cooked crab. “Geng Youyang, put me down!”

“Objection overruled!” Geng Youyang confidently carried Yu Xiaoye towards the hospital room.

The envious doctor watched them with keen interest.

“Hey, Geng Youyang,” Yu Xiaoye whispered, mindful of the late hour, “I only hurt my head; my feet can walk.”

“Shut up!” He dismissed her with a glance.

“But…”

“Shut up if you don’t want to fall.”

Upon arriving at the hospital room, a high-end intensive care ward featuring a TV, air conditioning, sofa, carpet, private bathroom, and 24-hour hot water awaited them.

“Geng Youyang, I’m here to be hospitalized, not to stay in a hotel,” Yu Xiaoye remarked.

Geng Youyang was silent and began to take off her coat.

“Ah! What are you doing?” Yu Xiaoye gasped, clutching her clothes in fear.

Geng Youyang paused, amused by her reaction. “Miss, when you’re hospitalized, you need to dress appropriately. I’m helping you change into a hospital gown. Did you think I was going to molest you?”

Yu Xiaoye’s cheeks flushed again as she lowered her head and mumbled, “I can change by myself.”

This time, Geng Youyang did not respond.

He removed her coat and noticed her slightly furrowed brow. Rolling up her sleeve, he saw her elbow was bruised purple, and her legs were extensively scraped. Geng Yaoyang’s face darkened, fists clenching and veins bulging on his forehead.

“It’s nothing,” Yu Xiaoying quickly reassured him. “It doesn’t hurt at all!”

Geng Yaoyang was silent for a moment, then pulled out cotton swabs and iodine from his pocket, gently cleaning her wounds.

“You…” Yu Xiaoying was curious.

“Took them while the doctor was drooling over me,” he replied, glancing at her. “Women are naturally gossips.”

Yu Xiaoying finally stopped speaking as her minor injuries were treated.

Under Geng Yaoyang’s insistence, she let him help her change into a hospital gown.

Despite the fabric between them, Geng Yaoyang could still feel her soft skin. Both of their faces reddened in the silence.

“Phew,” Yu Xiaoying took a deep breath, now able to rest.

“So…” she asked, looking at Geng Yaoyang, who sat motionless on the bed’s edge, “Can we sleep now?”

Geng Yaoyang said nothing, turning his head to look at her deeply with eyes that seemed to want to drown her.

This Geng Yaoyang…

But he has a fiancée.

Yu Xiaoying lowered her head, avoiding his gaze.

After a few minutes of stalemate, Geng Yaoyang leaned sideways on the bed’s edge, pulling Yu Xiaoying close and gently embracing her.

“Sleep like this!” he said stiffly.

“Ah? Like this?”

“Mm.”

“How can we possibly sleep like this!” Yu Xiaoying protested.

“Shut up!”

The blue night sky, with its desolate stars, surrounded them.

After a long time, Geng Yaoyang looked down to see she was still awake.

“Why aren’t you sleeping?”

“Can’t sleep.”

“Don’t go to such dangerous places in the future,” he said, anxious.

“But if I hadn’t gone in today, then Lin Yichen…” she couldn’t bear to think of the consequences.

Geng Yaoyang suddenly tightened his arms. “I’m scared,” he whispered.

Yu Xiaoying’s tears fell without permission, a release after the crisis.

“But I believed you would come,” she said, crying.

The night was deep, and Yu Xiaoying had fallen asleep, still in his embrace.

Maybe you’ll never know how much I’m afraid…

You will never know how much I’m afraid

Afraid something will happen to you

Afraid of losing you

Only by holding you at this moment

Can I truly feel your reality…

Feeling a strong light on her face, Yu Xiaoying slowly opened her eyes. She was startled to find the room full of people: Xue Buzhizi, Geng Qianyu, Xi Lang, Wei Xinghan, Song Chu, and even Qin Na staring at her.

Everyone held their breath, watching her. When Yu Xiaoying opened her eyes, they all sighed in relief.

Yu Xiaoying quickly replayed yesterday’s events and realized Geng Yaoyang had been holding her while she slept. Oh no! She realized she was still leaning in his arms, feeling his breath on her hot cheeks.

Suddenly, she sat up and, before she was fully aware, pushed the still-sleeping Geng Yaoyang off the bed.

“Sorry, Geng Yaoyang.”

“What happened! Yu Xiaoying, what’s wrong?” Geng Yaoyang, suddenly attacked, quickly bounced up from the floor, nervously looking at the guilt-ridden Yu Xiaoying.

Xi Lang whistled in admiration of Geng Yaoyang’s reflexes.
