Little Demon, Don’t Go

“Ah!” Yu Xiaoyo hugged his neck, drawing a satisfied smile from him.

“Don’t think about him!”

“I’m not…” She lowered her eyes guiltily. Yu Xiaoyo, be strong!

His face darkened.

Geng Yaoyang walked to a bench. When Yu Xiaoyo was still 20 centimeters above it, he suddenly let go!

“Ah!” Yu Xiaoyo jumped up in pain.

“Geng Yaoyang, what are you doing?” she shouted as he walked away.

“Go home and sleep!” He didn’t turn back.

Hateful guy! The next day… 8 minutes before the first class…

Yu Xiaoyo secretly glanced at the person who hadn’t paid her any attention since yesterday.

“Wow! Just in time!” A red train head burst in. “Yao-gege…” Nini carefully brought a pink lunchbox in front of Geng Yaoyang.

“What is this?” Geng Yaoyang frowned, not looking at the black, sticky mess.

“Red bean soup. I boiled it until midnight,” Nini said aggrievedly.

“No.” Drinking it would be fatal.

“Yao-gege…” The pretty girl pouted, her eyes turning red.

Everyone in the classroom was interested in the confrontation.

“Senior, you’re here too,” Nini ran over excitedly.

“Mm.” Yu Xiaoyo smiled, feeling the difference in treatment between her and Nini.

“Yao-gege won’t drink it; you drink it.”

“…” She instinctively turned her head to avoid it, catching sight of a tall, slender figure downstairs.

Ruan Zheng…

Seeing Yu Xiaoyo’s reaction, Nini ran back to pester Geng Yaoyang.

“If you don’t drink it, I won’t leave.” She stood with hands on her hips in front of Geng Yaoyang’s desk.

The classroom erupted as Geng Yaoyang’s face turned red, then gradually darkened.

The next second, everything went quiet. Everyone was waiting breathlessly for Geng Yaoyang to drink the love-filled red bean soup, except for Yu Xiaoyo. She looked at the increasingly lonely figure under the tree. Ruan Zheng met her worried gaze and subtly smiled, which Yu Xiaoyo understood.

“Wow!” A cry came from the classroom. Geng Yaoyang’s sour face met Nini’s jubilant smile. “You can go now.” He had drunk it all, and it was truly deadly!

“Okay!” Nini nodded vigorously. “Then I’ll come again tomorrow, Yao-gege!”

“Mm.” Wait! “Again tomorrow?” Geng Yaoyang’s mouth twitched.

“Bye, Yao-gege!” Nini called as she left with the class bell. Geng Yaoyang’s stomach churned terribly.

Yu Xiaoyo’s gaze drifted outside the window as Nini ran excitedly to Ruan Zheng, raising her lunch box. Ruan Zheng patted her head, but Yu Xiaoyo still watched the motorcycle as it moved far away.

Class dismissed. Yu Xiaoyo slowly packed her schoolbag, glancing at Geng Yaoyang, who remained motionless and sullen all morning. The red bean soup seemed quite powerful. Sighing quietly, she carried her bag out of the classroom; it was best not to provoke him now.

Suddenly, a strong hand snatched her bag. Turning around, she saw Geng Yuyang casually slinging it over his shoulder and grabbing her hand.

“Let’s eat,” he said, having not eaten all day.

“What about you?” Yu Xiaoying asked, suppressing laughter.

“I’ll watch.”

She couldn’t hold back and laughed.

“Keep laughing,” he said, glaring at her, “or I’ll kiss you right here.”

Ignoring his expression, Yu Xiaoying happily hooked her arm with his. “Let’s go, I won’t eat either.”

“Why?”

“I’m losing weight.”

“Women,” Geng Yuyang frowned. “So troublesome.”

“Let me teach you something: never underestimate women!” she said with a wink.

He knew this woman was doing it on purpose.

Just outside the school gate, Yu Xiaoying headed for a street vendor. “Boss, one red bean milk tea,” she emphasized, “large size!”

Red bean?! Geng Yuyang felt his stomach churn.

Holding the large red bean milk tea, she sighed contentedly. “Hey, Geng Yuyang, the weather is nice today. Let’s go sunbathe.”

“Okay,” he replied, curious about her intentions.

On the way, she threw away the empty cup and walked to a cold drink shop. “I want a snow mountain, full of red beans.”

“Snow mountain?” Geng Yuyang grabbed her. “Miss, it’s winter. Your stomach will be upset.”

“It’s fine,” she pulled away his hand. “I feel thirsty. And why does red bean suddenly taste so good?”

Geng Yuyang remained silent, pulling her to sit on the sunniest bench at the fountain square.

Eating red bean snow mountain.

“Red beans grow in the southern country… this evokes longing.” Longing? Yu Xiaoying suddenly stopped. Nini’s red bean soup…

She must be overthinking.

Geng Yuyang noticed Yu Xiaoying stop eating and stare blankly.

He leaned over, taking a spoonful of her snow mountain. “Not bad.”

Yu Xiaoying, coming back to her senses, saw Geng Yuyang eating her dessert. She quickly hid the rest behind her.

“What are you doing?” she said, looking protective.

“Give it to me!”

“No!”

Geng Yuyang reached behind her to grab it. She dodged, accidentally knocking over the box.

“Ah!” The snow mountain spilled everywhere.

“It’s all your fault!” Yu Xiaoying stomped her foot. “Why grab it?”

Geng Yuyang crossed his arms. “It’s just a snow mountain. Why are you so nervous?”

“…”

“It’s all your fault anyway!” When women throw tantrums, there’s no reasoning.

Looking at her moving lips, Geng Yuyang couldn’t help but kiss her.

Cool lips, carrying the sweet taste of red beans.

Red beans weren’t bad. This woman’s taste was quite pleasing.

A passionate kiss, a typically bold Geng Yuyang-style kiss.

But the cold lips slowly warmed up, as if warming the heart too.

“Wow!” Suddenly, a group of children cheered.

Realizing they were displaying affection, the two quickly separated.

The cheers weren’t directed at them; a group of children were gathered around something.

On a whim, Geng Yuyang dragged Yu Xiaoying to the crowd.

A wishing pool had appeared in the fountain square.

Though newly built, it was already filled with many coins.

Sparkling water and tiny droplets from the angel statue splashed into the pool.

Even the smallest coins shimmered.

The crowd fell silent, not disturbing those making wishes.

“Let’s go.”

“Why?” Geng Yuyang was intrigued.

“Boring,” Yu Xiaoying responded coldly.

“Come back!” Geng Yuyang pulled her back, pressing a coin into her hand. “Make a wish!”

“That’s all lies,” Yu Xiaoying said, staring at the water, pausing before muttering a few words. God has no time to listen to so many wishes.

Her voice, though quiet, was particularly abrupt in the stillness.

Next to the “older sister” was a little girl with braids, clearly still in kindergarten, and she wasn’t happy. “We are all making wishes sincerely. I believe they will definitely come true.”

Yu Xiaoyao looked down at the coin in her palm, a cold smile appearing on her lips. She tossed it into the pool and declared, “Hey, you old man called God, I’ll give you a dollar. Can you bring the dead back to life?”

Everyone stared at Yu Xiaoyao with surprise and condemnation. Destroying someone else’s wish seemed too much.

After a long silence, Geng Yuyang spoke, grabbing her foot as she turned to leave. “Come back! Apologize to her.” He pointed at the little girl, on the verge of tears.

Yu Xiaoyao remained silent, her gaze icy.

“I’m sorry,” Geng Yuyang said.

The little girl looked at him, surprised. He smiled as he spoke.

Geng Yuyang handed the girl a coin. “Let’s make a wish again, okay? Big brother believes this one will come true.”

“Okay!” she replied happily, throwing the coin into the pool and whispering her wish with her eyes closed.

Geng Yuyang smiled and threw in his coin.

“What did you wish for?” asked the little girl, who liked this gentle older brother.

“What about you?” he replied, showing rare tenderness.

“I hope mom can buy me that princess dress I’ve loved for so long.”

Such a pure wish.

“What about you, big brother?”
