Little Demon, Don’t Go

“My wish…” he glanced at Yu Xiaoyao, who was standing quietly not far away, lost in thought. “That the older sister will fall in love with me.”

Damn, he thought of Ji Ran again.

“Not going!” Geng Yaoyang was determined.

“Geng Yaoyang.” Yu Xiaoyao approached him, “Go.”

Damn, why must they go eat together?

“Let’s go,” Geng Yaoyang said gloomily.

“Ah! Brother Yao, you agreed!” Nini rushed over, joyous.

“Mm.”

On the way, Nini pulled him forward despite his sulky demeanor. Yu Xiaoyao and Ruan Zheng followed behind.

“Why?” Yu Xiaoyao suddenly asked.

The tall, slender figure visibly trembled.

“Because she will be happy.”

“What about you? Are you happy?” Yu Xiaoyao stopped.

“I’m not important.”

“Ruan Zheng…”

“We’re here!” Ruan Zheng quickened his steps, leading them to a restaurant.

Nini squeezed next to Geng Yaoyang while Yu Xiaoyao sat next to Ruan Zheng. Only Nini was excited about the table of dishes; the others remained silent. Geng Yaoyang glared at Ruan Zheng, his patience waning.

“Brother Zheng is just like Sister Yu’s ex-boyfriend!” Nini blurted out.

Geng Yaoyang suddenly lost his composure, standing up and knocking over the dishes. He grabbed Nini’s wrist, shouting, “Don’t talk nonsense!”

“Isn’t it?” Nini replied with wide eyes. “I think Sister Yu definitely likes Brother Zheng; why else would she cry when she met him?”

Yu Xiaoyao looked at Nini, surprised. Geng Yaoyang’s face turned furious.

“I’m not talking nonsense!” Nini broke free from his grip. “Brother Ruan likes her too. Right, Brother Zheng?”

“Ruan Zheng…” Yu Xiaoyao glanced at his pale face.

“Yes.” Ruan Zheng lowered his head, making Yu Xiaoyao bewildered.

“Are you in love with him too?” Geng Yaoyang roared.

“I…” Yu Xiaoyao began but was interrupted.

“I know,” Ruan Zheng said, taking her hand and smiling weakly at her disbelief, “I don’t mind being Ji Ran’s shadow.”

“I’m sorry, Xiaoyao,” he added, leaving her speechless.

“Geng Yaoyang laughed in anger, ‘I’m an idiot!’

‘It’s not like that, Geng Yaoyang!’ Yu Xiaoyao rushed to explain.

‘Don’t explain!’ He pushed her away hard. Seeing her stumble and be supported by Ruan Zheng pained him.

‘I, Geng Yaoyang, am a complete fool!’ He laughed and strode out the door.

Nini hurried to chase after him.

‘Yao… Are you okay?’ Ruan Zheng looked apologetically at Yu Xiaoyao, still in chaos.

Yu Xiaoyao couldn’t believe Ruan Zheng would say such things in front of Geng Yaoyang.

‘Sorry.’

‘Sorry?’ She laughed coldly, ‘Is this how you accommodate her?’

‘I…’ He lowered his head. ‘This is all I can do.’

Foolish! Yu Xiaoyao looked at Ruan Zheng’s face, so similar to Ji Ran’s.

‘I used to think you were like Ji Ran,’ she said, looking out the window indifferently.

‘Hm?’

‘Your features, even your eyes.’ She smiled slightly. ‘His expression was always calm, as if nothing mattered. But today, I realized you’re not alike at all!’ Yu Xiaoyao caught Ruan Zheng’s gaze. ‘Ji Ran was passionate about feelings, unlike you!’

She frowned, stood up, and seemed reluctant to look at him again. ‘But you, Ruan Zheng, are a complete idiot! Coward!’

She walked out of the restaurant.

Yu Xiaoyao took out her phone to call Geng Yaoyang.

‘Hello!’ The voice on the other end was angry, clearly not checking the caller ID.”

“Geng Yaoyang, listen to me…”

“…” The call was cut off.

Yu Xiaoyao could imagine him throwing the phone. Calling again, it was turned off.

Geng Yaoyang, you bastard! Believing such nonsense!

“Yao!” Nini caught up with him, out of breath. “It’s not a bad thing to bring them together!”

This shameless woman!

“Shut up!” Geng Yaoyang turned and shouted with a dark face, “Only Yu Xiaoyao can call me Yao!!”

[Destiny’s Will: Chapter 25 – Not Destroyed in Misunderstanding]

“Geng Yaoyang!” Yu Xiaoyao finally confronted the guy who had been ignoring her for three days.

“Hm?” He leaned against the classroom doorframe. His heart was racing. If she hadn’t come to find him, he might have gone to look for her. The thought made him smile.

Yu Xiaoyao, noticing his smug smile, handed him a program sheet in an official tone. “Geng Yaoyang, Christmas is coming soon. The department is preparing activities, considering your special talents…”

Geng Yaoyang’s smile faded as he noticed her serious expression, turning his face to glare at her.

Yu Xiaoying, who had been observing the “weather,” suppressed her laughter and asked, “Geng Yuoyang, what program are you planning to perform?”

“You’re just here to tell me about this,” he ground out through clenched teeth.

“Yes,” Yu Xiaoying replied innocently, shoving the program sheet into the hand of the person by the door. “What else did you think I would say?”

Geng Yuoyang stared at her, momentarily speechless.

“Forget it,” he turned and tossed the program sheet onto the table.

“Only a fool would believe baseless nonsense!” Yu Xiaoying said coldly.

“What?”

“Are you a fool?” she asked with a smile.

“No.”

“That’s right!” Yu Xiaoying laughed and took his hand. “Don’t be angry about baseless nonsense!”

Her hand was soft and cool, her gaze gently sliding across his face.

No doubt, this woman was here, and her heart was here too.

Seeing Geng Yuoyang’s relieved expression, Yu Xiaoying let out a light sigh. When did she start caring so much about his feelings?

As they walked out of the teaching building, the cold wind made Yu Xiaoying shrink her neck.

A strong arm wrapped around her, and her heart felt warm. Yet she blurted out, “Uh, Geng Yuoyang, your arm is heavy.”

Geng Yuoyang pressed his arm down, hearing her surprised cry. He smiled, “If you’re cold, just shut up.”

Geng Yuoyang thought women were strange. Despite being nearly frozen, she insisted on going to the fountain square.

“What for?” It looked like it was about to snow.

Yu Xiaoying pulled him to the wishing pool, which was empty due to the weather.

“There are many coins here; it should work, right?” she said thoughtfully.

“I’ll make a wish too.” Yu Xiaoying carefully threw a coin into the pool. Closing her eyes, she whispered, “Is for Geng Yuoyang’s wish to come true.”

“Do you love me? Xiaoye?” Ruan Zheng asked, holding her tightly as she struggled against him. “Do you love me? Do you love me?”

“Ruan Zheng!” Yu Xiaoye tried to escape.

“Geng Yuoyang…”

“Yu Xiaoye!” a thunderous voice rang out.

“Geng Yuoyang…” Her ears buzzed from the noise.

This woman!

Geng Yuoyang gritted his teeth and strode over, roughly pulling Ruan Zheng apart, and before he could react, punched him in the face.

“Umph.” Ruan Zheng staggered back several steps and sat down on the ground.

Students swarmed around to watch the spectacle.

“Geng Yuoyang, you…” Yu Xiaoye quickly ran over to help Ruan Zheng up but couldn’t drag the nearly 180 cm tall boy. She helplessly squatted beside him.

Geng Yuoyang, furious, saw Yu Xiaoye helping Ruan Zheng and rushed over, pulling Yu Xiaoye up. In the forceful pull, her clothes tore open a large hole.

“Geng Yuoyang!!” She was angry. Didn’t he know how embarrassing this was!

“Damn you!” Geng Yuoyang’s eyes seemed to spew fire, consumed by rage. “You actually dare to protect him!!”

The surrounding crowd erupted in an uproar. Two boys fighting over a girl – what a classic campus drama!

“Geng Yuoyang, don’t cause a scene here,” Yu Xiaoye tried to control her temper.

“I’m causing a scene??” He laughed in anger and went to continue beating Ruan Zheng.

“No!

“Yu Xiaoye quickly hugged Geng Yuoyang tightly.

“Get off!” He forcefully broke free.

“Ah!” Yu Xiaoye was thrown aside. “Geng Yuoyang, you…”
