Crazy Smartphone – Part One

The deeper application of Tongxin Jue is called ‘He Xin Tong’. In the world of practitioners, there are ancient techniques like ‘Transmitting Sound Secretly’. When his master taught him Tongxin Jue, he mentioned these concepts, which he had never achieved despite a lifetime of study, thinking it was just a myth spread among martial artists. Unexpectedly, Lin Feng, this little kid, had actually reached the level of ‘He Xin Tong’, transmitting his thoughts over such a distance! This confirms that he indeed has some connection with his long-lost junior brother. My silly girl, what Lin Feng possesses isn’t some magical ability, but our sect’s supreme technique, the Tongxin Jue from the ‘Tao Te Ching’; a genius, truly a genius! Lin Feng must have astonishing talent, hehahaha, maybe even he himself isn’t aware of it! If this child attains enlightenment in the future, our Xuanzong will surely become renowned in the world of practitioners! Meanwhile, several miles away, Lin Feng was having a hearty breakfast, his mind swirling with thoughts. There was a troubling matter he didn’t know how to handle. However, deep down, he truly appreciated the kindness of Elder Wang. Just as Elder Wang had described to his granddaughter, Wang Xiaoyu, whenever Lin Feng thought of the elder, his thoughts would inadvertently transform into electromagnetic waves through the mysterious game gear known as Da Mei Niu, transmitting directly to the intended recipient. Because Wang Deren had profound cultivation and had studied mind-reading techniques for many years, although he hadn’t yet reached the level of mind-reading himself, his mental strength was far superior to that of ordinary people. This was why he could sense Lin Feng’s unintentional ‘disturbances’. However, Wang Xiaoyu was different; she could only receive Lin Feng’s directed mental transmissions through her mobile phone. Lin Feng’s unique ability was ultimately due to the mysterious game gear, Da Mei Niu, within him. Elder Wang’s efforts were not in vain, as Lin Feng’s mental strength had been subtly and significantly enhanced. Thus, the benefits Lin Feng unexpectedly received from Elder Wang were no less than what he had gained from Da Mei Niu. Moreover, Da Mei Niu was not something he had obtained for free; the vigilant eyes watching him had never relaxed for a day…

The Reappearance of…

Now, let’s turn the clock back about an hour. Lin Feng had slept beside his mother’s bed all night and was woken up early in the morning by her. With eyes still half-closed, he returned to his room to change clothes. He habitually opened his wardrobe to fetch fresh clothes, but his arm stiffened as soon as it went in. Upon opening his eyes, he was confronted once again with a sight that made his heart race… women’s underwear! The wardrobe was once again filled with various colorful pieces of women’s underwear, even more than the last time, almost doubling in number. Moreover, the smell inside was overwhelmingly strong, most of it unwashed, with clear signs they had been recently worn, some even bearing the marks of recent use, without even being torn off. Faced with this bizarre scene, Lin Feng felt as if his head was buzzing from a divine thunderbolt. He stared wide-eyed, unable to believe the spectacle before him — What, what, what, what is going on here? Me, me, me, have I really become so despicable? Have I really… really done such a shameless thing again? Didn’t Elder Wang say that practicing that calming technique would help suppress my subconscious desires and prevent me from doing such things again? And hadn’t I been fine for the past few days? Hadn’t I… hadn’t I… Oh God, what did I do wrong? Why do you torment me like this? Stealing women’s underwear? This time, this time it’s not just stealing, it’s… it’s clearly robbery! But why, why, why?

Lin Feng was on the brink of collapse when his mother’s call for breakfast echoed from outside: “Lin Lin, come eat! Why are you locking yourself in your room like a young lady?” His mother’s nagging voice made Lin Feng jump out of his skin. He quickly closed the wardrobe door, managed to suppress his agitation, and shouted back, “I’m coming out!” Simultaneously, he burst into a flurry of activity, dashing around the room like a headless chicken. He searched everywhere but couldn’t find a suitable bag to store the incriminating evidence. With his mother’s calls growing more insistent, Lin Feng decided to grab his school bag, dump out the books, and use it to temporarily hide the evidence, planning to find a secluded spot to destroy it. This time, he was determined to go to a more remote location with a lighter to ensure no evidence was left behind, unlike last time when he threw everything into a dry well and it was discovered.

“Lin Lin, what are you doing? Why are you taking so long? Are you sick? I’m coming in…” His mother was knocking again, and this time, she seemed to be fetching the key to enter herself. “Mom, don’t…” Lin Feng was almost frantic, one hand clutching the school bag, the other diving into the wardrobe, trying to stuff all the evidence inside in the brief moment he had. If his mother saw these inappropriate items, who knows what she would think or if she’d have a heart attack from the shock. Hurry up, hurry up, hurry up…

As Lin Feng focused all his attention on his left hand, suddenly, his movement stopped, and an extremely peculiar expression crossed his face as if he had been immobilized. At that very moment, his mother had opened the door with her key. Seeing her son’s odd behavior, she asked with concern, “Son, weren’t you changing? Why are you just standing there?” She walked closer, touched his cheek, and glanced into his wardrobe.

“Ai—” Lin Feng’s mother exclaimed in surprise. Lin Feng, nearly scared out of his wits by his mother’s “Ai”, finally snapped out of his daze. “What’s wrong, Mom?” he asked, his voice sounding odd and loud, startling his mother.

“Lin Lin! Tell me honestly, where are your clothes in the wardrobe? Why is there nothing there? No wonder you locked yourself in for so long, with books scattered everywhere. What are you hiding from me?” Lin Feng’s mother grew suspicious, beginning a thorough search of the room, naturally starting with the wardrobe that Lin Feng was still guarding. Lin Feng, pushed aside by his mother, seemed not to react to her scolding, standing there dumbly, repeatedly lifting his left hand, examining it as if trying to find a flower blooming on it.

The wardrobe full of women’s underwear had mysteriously vanished from the closet. In the blink of an eye, they had all disappeared! “What’s wrong with your hands, Linlin?” Lin Feng’s mother hadn’t noticed anything odd, but seeing her son in a daze, she couldn’t be bothered to scold him anymore. She stepped forward, grabbed his hands, and scrutinized them carefully. “Mom, I’m fine!” Lin Feng forced a dry laugh and quickly withdrew his hands, fearing that his mother might really see something amiss in his palms. “Mom, didn’t you call me for dinner? What delicious food did you make today?” Lin Feng tried to muster some energy and quickly changed the subject, while his hands were discreetly rubbing behind his back. Despite his palms turning red from the rubbing, he seemed to have no intention of stopping, leaving one to wonder what exactly he had touched that made him so restless and distraught.
