Crazy Smartphone – Part One

He dashed downstairs in a flash, and as he ran out of the community gate, it was the critical moment when the residents were alarmed by the ‘Superman’ Lin Feng’s big commotion. The whole community was shouting to catch the thief. Thinking his whereabouts had been exposed, he no longer cared about the glorious ‘work results’ temporarily hidden somewhere in the community, and he sprinted away, disappearing in the blink of an eye. Later in the night, he mustered the courage to sneak back into the community, still hoping to retrieve his labor’s fruits, which contained quite a few valuable items like gold and silver jewelry. Unexpectedly, upon his risky return, the hidden package had vanished without a trace. Being a ruthless character, he blamed the loss on the kid from the eighth floor, deciding to seek revenge. Around 3 a.m., he climbed up the drainpipe back to the same route, reaching Lin Feng’s windowsill. To his great surprise, he expected everyone to be fast asleep, but instead, he saw the kid he hated so much still moving around in the room. Fearing to alert Lin Feng again, he was about to flee when he noticed Lin Feng, instead of sleeping, was suspiciously hiding something in the room. Out of professional sensitivity, he took note of where Lin Feng was hiding the items before quietly withdrawing. The next morning, after seeing Lin Feng and his mother leave the house, he swaggered upstairs, easily picking the lock of Lin Feng’s security door, and slipped into the room. After searching thoroughly to no avail, he noticed Lin Feng’s empty wardrobe and remembered the large bag Lin Feng was carrying with a secretive look before leaving. He slapped his forehead, guessing that was his real target. He immediately left, aimlessly searching for Lin Feng’s whereabouts. By sheer bad luck for Lin Feng, on his way back to his den after a fruitless search, he spotted Lin Feng moving suspiciously in the suburbs, or more precisely, the glaring black duct tape Lin Feng was carrying. Lin Feng was running fast, almost flashing by, disappearing around the next corner in an instant. The relentless thief immediately got out of the car to chase him, but with his speed, he soon lost sight of Lin Feng. However, he roughly knew where Lin Feng was headed. While taking a break in a secluded spot by the road, he saw Lin Feng return in a hurry, but without the duct tape. With a quick turn of his mind, he guessed the answer. Knowing that Lin Feng was likely disposing of something incriminating in this desolate area, he sneered and decided to find the discarded tape, hoping to find something he could use to blackmail Lin Feng. However, after exhausting himself to the point of nearly vomiting blood, all he found inside the large tape was a pile of women’s underwear. He cursed venomously for a long time, still not satisfied, and decided to stir up some trouble for Lin Feng, the supposed pervert. He cleverly disguised himself as a concerned old farmer and reported this ‘big event’ to the media, earning himself a hundred yuan for the news tip, feeling his morning wasn’t wasted. He thought this would at least teach Lin Feng a lesson, but to his surprise, everything remained calm after two days. He inadvertently learned that Lin Feng seemed quite famous at Yushan High School, which made him even more resentful. He started loitering around Yushan High School, constantly thinking of ways to covertly retaliate against Lin Feng. That evening, Cao Nan approached him, asking him to do something underhanded to frame Lin Feng. Thus, these two like-minded scoundrels met, plotted, and Lin Feng’s identity as the underwear thief was exposed. Cao Nan came up with an insidious plan, instructing Flying Squirrel Dai Zong to steal women’s underwear elsewhere overnight, while he himself, enduring physical pain, presented his malicious plan to his police brother. Consequently, the next day, the underwear thief was caught at Yushan High School by the police, and with Cao Nan and others’ encouragement, the news spread like wildfire throughout the city, causing a stir. In the police station, if it weren’t for Lin Feng’s quick wit and Wang Xiaoyun’s strong support, he might have been intentionally framed, potentially ending up seriously harmed. As for Cao Nan’s most sinister move, the pile of women’s underwear he instructed Dai Zong to hide in Lin Feng’s wardrobe, if not for Lin Feng’s impressive character explosion and the unexpected intervention by Wang Xiaoyun using Director Tian, Lin Feng’s situation would have been dire, with a high likelihood of not making it out unscathed.

The plot thickened with the revelation of Lin Feng’s potential identity as the notorious pervert and underwear thief in Yushan City, as Flying Squirrel Dai Zong spoke excitedly, and the thugs around him, in an unusual display of justice, shouted about eliminating this menace to society. They were actually discussing whether to use underworld or legal methods to deal with Lin Feng once they caught him. However, greed ultimately triumphed over their sense of justice, and they decided to use extreme measures to kidnap Lin Feng. Their discussions were fervent, with a tone of vigilante justice, as if they were doing the world a favor by removing Lin Feng, who they saw as a massive blight compared to their minor misdeeds. Given that Lin Feng and his mother were the only ones at home, these thugs felt particularly bold, their words hinting at using force if necessary, treating the Lin family as insignificant, ready to go to any lengths. With such a lucrative opportunity, they were all enthusiastic, plotting when to strike that night. Little did they know, the man they thought had vanished, suddenly reappeared like a ghost. Hearing Lin Feng’s cold voice, the thugs were shocked, their secret plans exposed, and their first instinct was to flee. However, upon closer inspection, they saw only a frail, skinny figure before them, nothing to fear. They stopped in their tracks, reassessing Lin Feng with a menacing look.

Xiang Qiang’s eyes lit up with excitement. Originally, he had planned to visit this kid at night, secretly abduct him, and force him to cough up the money. Unexpectedly, the plan changed faster than anticipated; this big fat sheep had jumped out eagerly on his own. This saved a lot of trouble, making the job more straightforward. Xiang Qiang signaled one of his men with a glance, who understood and went to keep watch at the alley entrance. The remaining few silently took their positions on either side, closing in on Lin Feng. The alley wasn’t wide to begin with, and now, with them blocking both sides, Lin Feng’s escape route was inadvertently cut off. The situation had become a trap from which there was no escape; the big fat sheep had no choice but to surrender.

Dai Zong reminded, “Be careful, this guy knows kung fu!” Xiang Qiang laughed, “Kung fu, my ass! Hey, don’t worry, we brothers can handle this skinny monkey with ease. Only those useless, power-abusing Thirteen Eagles would be scared of him. He doesn’t have a gun today. Let’s all pull out our weapons and tie him up first!”

As they spoke, each drew a spring knife from their waist, the blades springing open with a series of crisp clicks, drawing attention with their sharp sound. They brandished the menacingly gleaming knives, advancing on Lin Feng.

“Did you sneak into my home?” Lin Feng ignored the others, his eyes fixed on the rat-faced thug, Dai Zong. From afar, Lin Feng had overheard their plot using Nuonuo’s listening capabilities. In their earlier conversation, this man had boasted about breaking into the Happiness Community, and judging by the time and location, it seemed to coincide with the day Lin Feng unintentionally acquired Nuonuo. This guy seemed to have witnessed him speeding away in the Swift Wind Boots. Nuonuo’s secret must not be leaked, making this petty thief Lin Feng’s primary target.
